The food was nothing short of outstanding—honestly, some of the best we’ve ever had. Every meal felt like a fine dining experience, with flavors that left a lasting impression. The staff were exceptional—attentive, warm, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure a memorable stay. Their service was impeccable, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our visit was the rooftop cocktail bar. The drinks were absolutely top-tier—some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had, with unique flavors and expert craftsmanship. All in all, The Neela exceeded every expectation, offering luxury, incredible service, and an unforgettable experience in Stone Town. Highly recommended!

The Golden Tulip Hotel is ideally located for travelers seeking accessible accommodations while exploring the beauty of Zanzibar. Its convenient position allows easy access to nearby attractions and services, often without the need for transportation. I particularly appreciated the friendly and welcoming demeanor of both the hotel staff and the local community around the seaport. Accessing tour guides was effortless, which enhanced my experience. However, I would suggest considering upgrades to some beds, as the one in my room was slightly noisy. Overall, the hotel provides an excellent experience and is highly recommended.

Fantastic place with friendly staff and an amazing architecture

Lovely property in a quiet corner of Stonetown. Great swimming pool. Historic quality of hotel added a charming feel. Most rooms overlook the ocean. The amenities were complete and the room was very comfortable. Spend a little extra to get an outside balcony or verandah. The staff was wonderful and helpful. There are lots of restaurants nearby. I can't speak for the food at the on property restaurant since I had to leave early and skipped the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again on a Stonetown visit.
