It's situated 290 kilometres to the south of Warsaw, the nation's capital.

While in Targanice, make the journey to check out one of the region's most famous attractions, the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. Head to Oswiecim, 25 kilometres to the north, and you'll be there before you know it.

You don't need to travel for hours to uncover some pleasant natural sights. Grab your car keys and make your way to Babia Gora National Park, 30 kilometres away from Targanice, for a chilled-out day. Or maybe Wolski Forest tickles your fancy? It's situated just 45 kilometres away.
