It's located close to some of the country's best-known cities. Journey 85 kilometres northwest to explore the busy streets of Eisenstadt. Alternatively, go northwest 120 kilometres to reach Vienna.

Think about taking a picnic hamper and a blanket for lunch on the coastline at Golden Shore or Gardony Beach.

Gabcikovo-Nagymaros Dam, 40 kilometres away, is the perfect spot for clean, fresh air and a leisurely afternoon. It's certainly worth the journey.

If you can't imagine a holiday that doesn't involve sports, investigate the event schedule at ETO Park. It's likely something will be on during your stay. You can find the venue 25 kilometres away in Gyor.

Whether you want to take on the black runs or simply have fun and stay in one piece, Hungary has the slopes you're after. Take your pick from Epleny Ski Arena or Nordica Síaréna.

You'll find even more just down the road. Győrújbarát, 14 kilometres to the northeast, is popular for Pannonhalma Archabbey and Gyor Benedictine Church. Alternatively, if the Benedictine Abbey and St Martin's Basilica are more appealing, go 15 kilometres east from Tét to Ecs.

Go on an adventure and visit some attractions in Pápa. This destination is 20 kilometres to the south and not too far from the Blue Dyeing Museum, the Great Synagogue and the Calvinist Church History Museum. That being said, don't forget about Great Church and Esterházy Palace either.

If you're thinking of visiting Tét in August, you'll want to be here on the 20th for Saint Stephen's Day. There's always plenty of excitement in the air coming up to this national day of festivities.

From the middle of Tét, it's about 75 kilometres to the north to M.R.Stefanika Airport (BTS). This is the nearest airport. Remember to give yourself ample time to get there so you don't miss your flight home.
