We had been in Mexico for a week at various places and had had very good experiences. This was in great contrast. We had poor service in the restaurant the night we arrived, were charged above the menu listing for our order, and the person in charge insisted we pay it. It was old, shabby, in need of updating, and only one desk chair and no other seating for a 2 person room. No fridge in the room. They also wouldn’t work it out with Expedia when I had to leave a day early of a 2 day reservation, and left before first day checkout time ie by noon. So they had a full day’s use of the room that I already had paid for. The manager just had a fixed smile and said “sorry we can’t do anything about it.” Pretty frustrating! . So- not a very hospitable hotel. The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful but that was it. That last star for area was an error. I was there because I needed to be in the area.

Its a casino and its very active after hours but u cant hear any noise from ur room. The brekafast buffet is really good!!!

As always, Grand Hotel Tijuana it is a top. I rated 4 stars in staff since the gentleman who checked me in told me that in the computer was nothing about my Gold Status and I have to show him directly from the app in ordertogetan upgrade. May be he is new to the front desk, since everyone before have gave me upgrade instantly. I will keep staying in the Grand Hotel Tijuana. Thank you.
