Very convenient to everything including the ferry terminal. That said, don’t try checking in when the ships arrive. Housekeeping was lacking. Staff is efficient but lacks a certain warmth. Breakfast Buffet was generally solid with lots of options but still searching for a good cup of coffee.

Our beds were like sleeping on pillows. Staff and breakfast options were wonderful! I would recommend staying at the hotel. Very convenient to where ever you wanted to go.

A great location but just an average hotel. Terrible breakfast with the ‘hot’ food mainly stone cold. Had one meal in the bistro which was at best average. Wouldn’t stay here again I’d try one of the other hotels in the area or Airbnb.

On the Expedia website when viewing a 'Standard' room there are many images showing a sea view out the room window. However, when you arrive at the hotel you are informed that NONE of the 'Standard' rooms have a sea view! So we ended up with a huge chimney outside our window, and behind that was the back of the hotel. Really poor given that expectations are based on images supplied during booking. On that basis I have rated the hotel poor. It's a massive issue you need to resolve. I have given feedback to the hotel after complaining and being given a different room! We also found the room really dusty, and on one occasion we returned to the room and room service had left a used pair of latex gloves on the desk. Also, the safe deposit box did not work. Would not say here again.

Run, don’t walk, as far and as fast as you can, to get away from and avoid staying at this hotel! Beautifully situated on the picturesque Tromsø waterfront, all pleasant aesthetics stop on checking into this hotel. To any questions or implied negative comments, staff smilingly reply, “we’re very modern.” Someone needs to tell them that modern life makes our existence safer, more convenient and generally more comfortable. This hotel does not do any of those things. NO PHONES IN ROOMS!! Medical emergency? Go to elevator and return to the front desk to ask for help. Really? In 2024? Using my own US cell phone to call the front desk, my unanswered call was still ringing — and the muted front desk phone was still blinking — when I went down to the front desk twenty minutes later. I used my phone and let it keep ringing, because the hotel’s preferred method of communication with guests required using QR blocks that showed on the in-room TV screen. None of the QR blocks worked. Shockingly, while in my room getting dressed for dinner, I heard a muffled voice in the corridor. Thinking someone might be speaking to me through a fairly soundproofed door, I opened - and heard a fire warning announcement being made that was NOT audible in our rooms! Room service? No food — because the dining room was fully booked-although half empty when I went there. The heat in my room did not work. There was a thermostat, but the cool temperature never changed. So disappointing.

Our stay at the hotel was great. It is a very clean hotel, the staff were polite, welcoming and chatty but not over bearing. It was quiet and we felt we could move about the hotel freely and comfortably. We booked in on a bed and breakfast basis, the breakfast was brilliant. A fuller range of options available, full cooked breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, tomatoes mushrooms, continental options (olives, cold meats, cheese), smoked salmon, pancakes, waffles croissants, cereal, yogurt, fruit, different breads, jams, the list goes on! Range of fresh juices, water, range of hot drinks. All drinks freely available for self service. Everything had flavour! There was a nice ambiance, music playing softly at breakfast, staff were attentive and on the ball. Being able to eat a good, flavoursome breakfast before heading out for the day made all the difference for us. The restaurant in the evening was more expensive than some other places nearby but the quality was better! I didn't find decaf options on tea and coffee available in the morning, there was only decaf freeze dried coffee ( freeze dried isn't as good as the ground beans). I would highly recommend this hotel and I would stay here again if I ever return to Tromso.

Okay. Could’ve been better.
Great location in town. Can likely be said about other properties in town as well however the service is not great. Left a sign to clean room early in the morning and returned later that night with the room untouched and dirty linens still. Had to ask for clean towels late at night. Front desk is always full of people with only 1 staff member assisting which is not ideal.
