Recommended. It’s not quite as picturesque as in the photos but I was very comfortable. I had a pool access room which I loved - could get in pool directly from my balcony. 2 nice pools. Clean. Food okay. Breakfast good. Right in the centre of Ubud but still quiet and restful. Walkable to so many nice restaurants and bars. Staff great.

I had an incredible stay all around. Very comfortable beds and linens! The suites are spacious. The staff was the best thing. The entire staff made me feel incredibly welcome, pampered, and taken care of. I wish I could name everyone! Sinta in dining, and AYU in spa names come to mind. But i regret not having others names too of mind right now. I almost never write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled because of my extraordinary visit. The general manager was amazing along with the person who picked me up from the airport-their names are escaping me. Don’t hesitate to book this hotel.

Amazing stay. Very clean rooms. Very seren. Awesome massage facilities. Definitely try classic facial. I would specifically want to mention Vayan. He was our driver for the trips. My mother fell and twisted her ankle Vayan helped us by taking to emergency and helping out with process and language.

A slice of heaven in central Ubud.
Just checked out of the Royal Kamuela. What a stunningly beautiful place to stay. So tranquil despite its close proximity to the Main Street and lots of places to shop, eat, drink. It's heaven. The suites are so big and super comfortable. Housekeeping is spotless and attends twice a day. Pool beautiful. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner is exceptional. Breakfast is the best we've ever eaten. All a La Carte. So much choice. And the little jams! So yummy. I need to buy them. Dinner was amazing too. Such great chefs and exceptional service. Everyone across the hotel cannot do enough for you. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to be in a slice of heaven but still in the heart of the town. I really hope I can come back day. Thank you so much everyone at Royal Kamuela.

Superb stay
Fabulous, luxurious place. Wonderful staff. They even clean your room twice daily! Villa complex just off main street but in a quiet, green, lush, secluded area. Rooms wonderful with massive beds lots of TV channels and excellent wifi. Breakfast by the pool is fantastic. Can walk to all the cafes, restaurants, bars Monkey Sanctuary and temples. Everything of a high standard.

The property is very beautiful, very clean and well maintained. . We stayed in Villa 1 right near the reception area with a private pool. The staff is super friendly, and courteous. All the staff members are very attentive to our needs. Every staff members say hello when they see us during our 4-day stay and paid attention to every small details (e.g. remembering our name and villa number). The restaurant on the property, Shrida, serves excellent dishes and the staff there are wonderful. We ate most of our meals at the restaurant because the food and service staff are excellent. The property is located right off the main street in town and is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants in a lively area. The transportation service, and local tour packages offered are excellent and reasonably price. We booked a full day tour that included visiting the nearly monkey forest, rice fields,, coffee farm, temples, and water falls and enjoyed it very much. Our driver and tour guide (Wayan) was super knowledgeable, friendly and very patient in answering all our questions. We took advantage of the spa package and had the best spa treatment on our trip to SE Asia. Overall, we had a wonderful time and so glad that we stayed at the Royal Kamuela. We could not be any happier with the services. We would recommend this property without hesitation. Thank you Royal Kamuela team for making our stay for our anniversary to memorable.

Hotel was steps from downtown. We stayed in villa 2 which had private pool. We were greeted by curious monkeys every morning. The facilities were clean along with great tasting food. Bed was comfortable but only note was the sheets were a little stiff but not something that would stop me from coming back. We also took advantage of the spa it was the best we’ve had during our tour through Thailand and Indonesia. The staff alone made our stay memorable and would recommend.

Lovely location with an amazing staff-guest ratio! Our rooms were cleaned minutes after we left them! The rooms, themselves, were fabulous -- large and roomy, with a wide, spacious balcony overlooking the pool. We walked out of the hotel and could get drinks/ massages and shop. Everything was great. I strongly recommend this hotel.
