We arrived late at night to Venezia and made it to the hotel thanks to the overnight fd agent and the bellman (Loris) who were amazing. Loris is a superstar! Our room was the worst, noisy, small, with view to the bushes next to the gondola rental, far from the category in our reservation. We spoke w the fd in the am and after a bit of back and forth with one of the ladies, we decided to pay to be upgraded to a suite. Our first experience was not pleasant, we felt scammed but decided to give the hotel a chance. The suite we upgraded to was very nice, our housekeeper excellent, the breakfast team (specially the couple in charge of the service) were spectacular, but the best most helpful and friendly staff were the concierge. They organized our trip to Milano, to Murano and to Burano flawlessly. Room service was amazing always, the food at the gourmet restaurant was spectacular, tasty, perfect temperature and portions, simply delicious! Our server on the other hand was not the best choice for that night, but overall we enjoyed our meal, and watching the Chef and his team preparing everything was delightful. The point of our trip was to celebrate my bday, I mentioned it at our arrival but there was no special amenity sent to our room, seemed like no one remember despite of sending it in our pre-arrival note. We loved Venezia, Burano and everything the city can offer, the concierge team, the reason we remained at the Baglioni Luna. They were the best part of our stay.
