Not the best option but not exactly the worst.
Very outdated hotel. Stayed in room 404. Pics don’t do it justice . The AC in the room was pointless because there are gashes by the four frame where the cool escapes. And pieces from the ceiling that aren’t completely closed. However the breakfast was fantastic bacon and eggs.

Smoke FREE property?????
I would like to give it a better review but there was one major issue. It is advertised as a "smoke FREE" property but smoking is allowed on the patio where breakfast is served. I complained two mornings in a row and the guest was told not to smoke. The next day one of the staff put up 2 signs asking guests not to smoke on the patio during breakfast hours. Mysteriously the signs were removed? If they allow smoking then they need to change their hotel description!!!

Little more than expected
Hotel staffs are nice but however, I found this hotel's tour services expensive. Breakfast was great and varied. Room was great except for lacking proper amenities such as soap, shampoo and maybe a toothbrush and toothpaste. They provide shower cream and shampoo though but not packaged. Overall great !!

Excellent Hotel
Good hotel. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Friendly staff, good breakfast, excellent wifi. Within walking distance of most in-town sites. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. I extended my stay for another three nights after my initial three nights stay. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Staffs very friendly and allow early check in
The morning staff is very very friendly and helpful and allow us for early check in. The transport via minivan to Vang Vieng charged by the hotel is overpriced 90,000kip, if you are young and energetic traveller, you could walk for about 300m to M-park roadside within national museum, there are minivan or minibus to vang vieng depart at 10am charged 50,000kip (please be there earlier around 9am+ to get your ticket) ask around because there is no clear signboard. We were told to go by minivan but end up we are travel with minibus with more expensive although hotel include the tuk tuk pick up but it is really too short distance 300m and we dont think we need it and the bus ticket price of 90,000kip was fixed by hotel.

Comfortable & quiet in the heart of Vientiane
SP Vientiane is a lovely hotel in the center of the city, with shopping, the night market, restaurants and temples all within a few minutes walk. My room was clean & the bed was comfortable. The staff, partically the young man who works the daytime reception desk, was helpful & friendly to me and to all the guests. The breakfast was tasty and filling. I really enjoyed dining on the front terrace in the morning. Wifi was good - no drops, no issues. My only complaint is that there were some tiny ants on my bed. Definitely just ants, not bed bugs. Not a big deal unless you are allergic, which I am not.

The room was clean and served our basic needs. My favorite was the free breakfast buffet and ala carte. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They went out of their way to help with purchasing a SIM card and activating it.

AVOID ROOM 502
The twin room at SP hotel leaves much to be desired in terms of size, comfort and tranquility. With an uncomfortable bed and the loud noise coming from the water tank on the 5th floor I could scarcely sleep; trying to sleep in room 502 is analogous to struggling to sleep on a plane. Besides, the down-at-heel door created dreadful noise while closing. Be warned that this is a 5-story hotel with no lift so those with a heavy and bulky luggage will have a hard time carrying it to the fourth or fifth floor. As for staff, most, if not all, are affable and accommodating. There is a free breakfast at the hotel comprising bread, cereal, fried rice, fried noodles, fried and scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, orange juice, bananas etc. Most major tourist attractions are within walking distance except Buddha Park which is 25 or so kilometers from the hotel.

Nice Location and Pleasant Staff
This is a very decent hotel, about two blocks from the main tourist area. It's very easy to walk over to the river area, and I liked that it was a little bit quieter on this street than where everyone else stays. The hotel itself is well-kept but nothing spectacular. The staff is very nice and ready to help. They are friendly and all seem to speak decent English. The wifi connection was thankfully pretty good. The bed was among the hardest I've slept on - even by Asian standards.

Very helpful staff
I had a good stay at the hotel. The most notable thing for me was the staff spoke English well and were very helpful. Long story short, they helped me to print out lots of documents that I'd forgotten to bring. And they only accepted payment after I absolutely insisted. A very kind, friendly and helpful hotel.

Simply Marvellous, Darling!
Super value, excellent and healthy breakfast, wonderful staff, good location, small (18 rooms I believe) and the staff learn your name and treat you like a special guest. If only there were a lift to get you up to your 4th floor room! mit is about a 10 minute walk to the Mekong River.
