Really appreciated the warm welcome and offer of a drink from the staff upon our arrival. Also, the unique and gracious personal welcome letter the staff had written which was in our room. They were most helpful throughout our stay with info regarding restaurants, directions, parking, sights to see, etc.

WOW. This hotel blew our expectations and anticipations out of the water. From the first interaction, they, especially Catarina, were incredibly friendly, helpful and helped us settle right in to Coimbra. Then there's the property itself. The original stone walls and arch ways, the VIEWS and the furnishings are just breathtaking. Out of all the places we stayed in Portugal during our 10 day trip, this was the location we wished we could go back to most. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Basic, clean and comfortable hotel. All the essentials. Spent one night. Everyone at the hotel was accommodating. They have free parking in a parking structure diagonal from the hotel. Very easy to access. Breakfast was sufficient, with nice views of the city.

The service, the stunning gardens, the food and atmosphere made this the best stay in Portugal. I highly recommend to stay there if you find yourself in Coimbra.
