Planning to visit Wagyo? Keep in mind that there is no accommodation in or close to Wagyo's centre.

However, 35 kilometres from Wagyo you'll find Hwasun. This nearby locality contains a selection of hotels and apartments. These include the Ramada Plaza Gwangju and Kumho Hwasun Resort.

But don't just stop there. Take some extra time to experience some of the amazing sights and activities that the wider South Jeolla region has to offer. Don't even think of going home without checking out a few of the region's stunning beaches, coastal plains, rivers and mountains. Castles, traditional villages and old towns are also worth a peek. Those with an appetite for adventure can also fill their days with a little mountain climbing in this part of South Korea.

Located 55 kilometres northwest of Wagyo, it's where you'll discover the Chosun University Museum of Art and May 18 Democracy Square. If you want to visit Gwangju, look into the rates at the Holiday Inn Gwangju and Pedro's House - Hostel. 70 kilometres to the west of Wagyo you'll find Mokpo, home to the Sunshine Motel and Fontana Beach Hotel. Jeollanamdo Agricultural Museum and Hanyeong Cinema Bowling Center are up there with the most popular sites to experience while in Mokpo.
