The Knot Yokohama was certainly a very pleasant surprise. It's great hotel in a great location. The room was a bit small (not unexpected) but overall I had a very pleasant stay.

No AC for the winter time and it was HOT since we were on the 8th floor. Opened windows cause it was cold outside but it was loud and couldn’t keep it open to sleep. Walls are thin and you could hear the people next door and above.

The place was good in terms of location. However, there is no aircon in the rooms so keep that in mind if your tolerance for heat is low. It can get very warm in Japan and humid. We were surprised. They only have heating. Aircon was only in reception area and hallways which was odd. We were only given a very small fan when we requested for one.

The hotel did not have air conditioning the time we were there (October 23rd) We asked the staff and they told us that they cannot change the heat to air conditioning on our room as it was the season for heat. We were very uncomfortable in the room. As it was too humid and hot.I don't understand why anyone can't adjust the temperature to suit their needs. This was very uncomfortable to sleep in the room. Luckily I was able to open the room window to let the hot air out. I was not impressed by the no option to cool the room.

We had a long stay at The Knot and we even miss the place now that we are back. When we arrived we realized that we need a bigger room for so many days and the staff was very patient looking for it and explaining everything. They were able to change us the next day for a reeasonable amount. Everybody was very nice and they know us already in a couple of days. They are a walkable distance from the Yokohama station and many shops and restaurants around with all you can dream about in Japan. And there is convinience store just in front and a big supermarket beside with plenty of options to have a cheap meal. It’s not in an a touristic area but what is called a sakariba with a lot of cultural interaction but very quiet at the same time. We really loved our stay and hope we can be back soon.

The location is perfect, but the washroom is too tiny for a rather tall person (I’m 5’11). And the room is has mostly everything EXCEPT the luggage rack!!! But again, generally speaking it’s good enough if u just staying for a day or two.

Cozy hotel. Smallish rooms n bathrooms but adequate. Nice bar n restaurant on first floor. Quite popular with the after work crowds. Restaurant has a pretty decent menu. They obviously work hard on it n it shows. The breakfast i considered to be excellent 👍
