The elevator is not working which no communication about this until after booking and paying. Also wasn’t advised no room service, apparently they can’t walk upstairs but expect guest to! Overall poor communication and pretty abrupt staff member on front desk.

Disappointing
We were disappointed that we were not informed that renovations were in progress prior to booking. There was a strong smell of paint, uneven carpeted surface which my father tripped on. From our room we could hear people using the bathroom & talking in the next room. We ate in the restaurant & not all menu items were available Meal was disappointing with over cooked fish & undercooked potato. We paid a premium price but did not have a premium experience.

After driving 6 hours we decided to stopover at Albury on our way to Melbourne, we were exhausted just wanted to shower and get some take away dinner there was Only one flannel, no plates or utensils to eat with even one star motels provide these items Bed was comfy though

Satisfactory but far from great.
My stay was satisfactory. The room was a good size, clean, quiet and comfortable. The carpet outside my room needed steam cleaning as there was a bad food or vomit stain (it didn't smell). I paid for breakfast to be included and twice ordered a coffee without being informed that it cost extra. So, when I got the bill for the coffees upon checkout, it was an unpleasant surprise. I had to spit out a pastry at breakfast, it was that bad. The juice was reconstituted, not fresh. The cooked breakfast was excellent. I also asked for a wake up call and was told by one of the night managers that they don't do them when the previous night manager had been able to organise one without a fuss. It's the little things that make the difference between a satisfactory stay and a lovely stay and the Mercure Albury is satisfactory.

There was mould on bathroom ceiling, something that looked like orange juice spilt in fridge. Poor condition inside the room, needs upgrading desperately. Dinner was very ordinary.Breakfast was slightly better. Some staff were rude whilst some were nice. Overall would i stay here again, NO.
