I love staying at this hotel when in Amsterdam. It’s close to the Centraal station, and easily walkable to most of central Amsterdam. The staff are amazing and the bed is one of the most comfortable i’ve slept on. Thank you for an amazing albeit short stay!

This hotel is absolutely magnificent. The interior is just as spectacular as the exterior. The facilities are superb. I loved that the mini bar items were free , which included water and cokes. Replenished daily. I discovered that the hotel has a paternoster, albeit not operational but when I enquired about it the lovely doorman went out of his way to show me it and gave me some wonderful insight into the hotel and it's history. It is in an ideal location close to centraal, but its actually very quiet inside your room. I absolutely loved my stay here and was quite sad to leave such luxury. I've stayed many times in Amsterdam and now I don't think anywhere will do , I can't wait to return.

The Grand Hotel Amrath is a lovely building with excellent rooms a gym and swimming pool ,sauna etc.I have stayed here before and will return. I preferred to check in sitting down as the reception area can get over crowded. It used to be this way. Bedankt,as always.

This hotel has a 5 star rating. However it’s not even in the same realm of a 5 star. I wouldn’t give it more than 3 stars. The facilities are old and it smells. The rooms are semi clean and sheets towels and robes are old and gray looking. Service is poor. Overall hotel resembles a hostel.

We arrived at 6am after a long international flight. The staff that welcomed us what so nice and they made an effort to get us into a room by 7am instead of at normal check in time. We appreciated this so much as we were exhausted from our travel! This really made our trip for us as we were only staying for two days. The walk from the train station is minutes away which is so convenient. You can walk anywhere from this hotel and if you don't feel like walking there is easy access to the Metro and overground shuttles. We actually stayed in this same hotel 10 years ago and also had a great experience. The rooms are grand, not ordinary or boring at all! I love how different it is and how the hotel has some history while offering modern amenities. We didn't get to use the spa facilities, but we did check it out and it was empty and very clean, lots of towels available. The spa is open from 7am until 11pm! Would highly recommend this hotel for any kind of traveler.
