Excellent location but the room was VERY basic. Bathroom rather cramped and smelly. Mystery liquids on the balcony wall. Bitten over 30 times from bedbugs

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. First of all, the stairs just to get into the building are ridiculously steep and dangerous—especially with luggage. Once inside, things only got worse. The man at reception was extremely weird and even knocked on our door late at night for no reason. It felt creepy and totally unprofessional. The room was absolutely filthy. There were holes in the walls, the shower was disgusting, and the whole place felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Even worse, the room was infested with bugs—not just mosquitoes, but black beetles crawling everywhere. On top of all that, there was no air conditioning, and the windows didn’t even open, making the room hot, humid, and unbearable. And here’s the real kicker: it wasn’t even cheap. We paid around €200 per night, which is insane for the condition this place is in. The photos online are a complete scam—they look nothing like the reality. This place should not be allowed to operate. We left a day early because we couldn’t stand it any longer. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.

I was in a basic single room, but then it was a last minute booking, and perfectly adequate for one night. The bed was too soft, but the shower was good. Very steep staircases to reach reception and the rooms, and no lift.

We come back time and time again purely for the wlocome we recieve from all the staff. We will be back in september with our children for a family holiday. Its a home from home. Safe, welcoming, amazing staff. Especially stephanie and arminia. I would highly recommend this hotel. Even for solo women travellers. I have stayed on my own and felt as safe as i did at home. If you need local knowlwdge the staff are always happy to point you in the right direction. Ok the staira are a mission, but also a reminder of the history preseved within the old building. We will be back and look forward to seeing the amaizing staff.

Steep stairs, no air conditioning or offering of portable fan, room hot, and curtins wouldnt close, old and tattered. Dated rooms, cheap, cheap cheap beds. Wasnt told that there was/is road construction right outside, very loud and started by 7am, looks as if they been there for months and will be much longer. Shower water goes every wheres leaving it a slipping hazard.
