My girlfriend really liked the Dyson hair dryer and the mesh curtain. I liked the front door and the black robes. Did not like that fact that I couldn’t find any information on how to contact reception
The room was beautiful. I loved the bathroom however the lighting was a little rough. But the room is definitely 5 stars.
The VIP bottle of wine I was given was not drinkable. It tasted burnt as if it had been left in the sun for hours and made me and my guest sick. The overall service was equivalent to a basic hotel and not what I expected for a hotel of this rating. I didn’t need housekeeping and put out the sign stating such only to have housekeeping try to come in while I was dressing. She said I was listed as checking out. While she was very kind, it took a bit of convincing that I wasn’t checking out yet. Reception: One gentleman was amazing, the rest were subpar or average in service. I waited over 5 minutes at the front desk because all 3 employees were chitchatting with another guest and taking pictures of her dog. When I was helped, the women couldn’t answer my question and I was told to try back in the morning. Overall a beautiful property with few amenities (the rooftop bar and its staff are the saving grace) and just average service.
Stayed here a few nights as the first stop on our honeymoon. Property was clean and modern - rooms were a bit dark but big windows brightened it up. Unfortunately service was not great from the front desk for being an upscale hotel. Upon check in, I requested to redeem expedia VIP perks that were highlighted under the reservation - I was told a bottle of wine would be delivered to the room. It never was and I had to follow up the next day. We were charged for valet parking service at a premium nightly cost to park on the property - otherwise we'd have to find other parking means. We accepted the valet service and fee however, each day we were told they were too busy to get the car so we either wait up to 30 mins or go find it ourselves in the car park. When checking out I asked if there was anything that could be done with the rate being charged as it really was not a valet service and was quite overpriced. I was told I need to pay but they would speak to the manager and someone would email me. It has been 3 weeks and I have still not been contacted.
Beautiful modern hotel in a central location in Auckland right by the Viaduct. Despite having "sound proofed" rooms there was still a bit of noise transfer from the neighbouring room and the street. Loved the vibe of the place though!
The staff was excellent and personable, provided VIP service, the room was large, although only 3 hangers were provided and no drawers for clothes, but the locker like wardrobe had a large enough shelf for clothes, just nowhere to store undergarments, socks, etc. I didn't use the mini bar but it is fully stocked with alcohol, soft drinks and snacks. Would definitely stay here again.
Overall the room and hotel were great. Most of the restaurant staff was really lovely, except perhaps the restaurant mgr/supervisor who seemed a bit condescending at all times - not to his staff, but to the clients. It was a bit off-putting. I felt that asking him for help was like asking him for a limb. Whereas any other staff member was kind and eager to assist, he just had a no-can-do type of response. Maybe he has having a bad day, it’s certainly possible, and it didn’t put a damper on my stay, I just think that maybe he could have been a bit on the friendlier, proactive/optimistic side. Still a five star experience overall. The room was absolutely spectacular.
I mistakenly booked the wrong dates for my stay. I tried to contact the hotel on multiple occasions but they did not reply or answer the phone.
When I arrived they told me I had to pay for another night. I had no option on where to stay as we were having a family reunion. I asked them to price match the hotels.com price which they agreed to do and then tried to charge me a higher rate. I then stood at the check in desk and booked a reduced rate online; and had to come back later to complete the check in as they were unable to do this as they had not yet received the booking.
Both stays offered a welcome gift - the hotel refused to honour these as their managing company had changed even though this was clearly stated on both my bookings.
They have offered me a discount to stay in the future but I would not stay here again. It's very disappointing as I had looked forward to this stay.
QT Auckland has wonderful room for me. Very comfy and the checking process was very smooth. Very nice place stay in the city. The room I got had a very nice view of the city.
