Practical and quaint. Loved the local toiletries in the room. Cozy Christmas decorations and warm lodge fireplace offered a warming atmosphere. Staff were very accommodating when we were traveling with our two kiddos and dog. However, staying on the main level would have been a little more ideal when travelling with pets. Hot tub area was a nice touch but was really crowded and the clorine was REALLY strong. Overall it was a nice stay!

Enjoyed hiking in the beautiful mountains and dining options in Banff were fabulous. There are lots of variety and good gluten-free options. The spa was very relaxing. The hot tub was not an option as the amount of chemical in it made my ears burn as soon as we opened the door so.we did not use it at all

Old and tired, VIP's beware
I have stayed at this property many times including holding a number of corporate Christmas party weekends over the years. This will be my last time staying at this property. The property is old and is in serious need of an update. The furniture is beat up, the TV is a Sharp Aquos for heavens sake. (Remember those from 2005) there is no AC and a lack of maintenance is apparant. The elevator was down once again and the one that was working sounded quite rough. Our room this time was on the 4th floor right in front of the hallway pressurization vent for the Make Up Air Unit. All we could smell was the smoke from the fireplace in the lobby being recycled and the howl from the motor (usually a sign of plugged filters) kept me from sleeping for 2 days. Despite all this (I am usually not one to complain about minor things) I am an Expedia VIP member and this hotel provides you with a $15 food credit per room per day. At check in I was told only that I couldn't use it on the last day. We had supper in the Keg on the second night and charged it to the room. Upon receiving my folio the credit was shown as a line item however not applied. When I asked at the desk for it to be applied I was told I could only use $15 of the 2 night credit as the $15 had to be used on the same calender day. No where including on the Expedia website is this disclosed nor in the hotel. This is very disingenuous, and another example of a bait and switch tactic so prevelant among VIP hotels lately.

Excellent on nearly every front. Two factors less than excellent- reception staff efficient but not as friendly or as informative as they could have been. And real shame only one lift working on last two days there.

The staff are nice and accommodating especially Farooq in the reception. The hotel has adequate parking space. A free 3 day pass for public transport is a good perk too.

Honestly, I am disappointed . I don’t think the room rate was worth it. The cleanliness can be rated as 0 . I saw stool stain on the commode. On the bed sheet there was stain of lipstick and don’t know what else!! I had to go to the front desk at least 3 times to change the key fobs as they were not working. The hot tub was dirty and there was not enough towel. Even the close the hot tub from Nov 17-20 and they even didn’t inform us earlier. The room was 300 Sq feet according to their website but 1/4 of the room was a wastage because of the structure. Only thing that we like was the bus pass . They provided us bus pass for 3 days. I won’t never recommend this hotel to my F&F and I will never go there !
