Top bunk hard to reach, matress due for change.
Staff helpful enough. The shower only had water running short bursts of time. Nothing in room or even on arrival to advise how to use these showers.
WAY TOO MANY PROBLEMS!!
DO NOT GO THERE
Summary:
Shady, very probable illegal paper to wave rights for opening the window, scorching hot and freezing AC
First, the card to open the door did not work properly for multiple people. They fixed that only after some days.
Then the AC was running all the time with no way to turn it off in the room. They taped rhe eletrical fuse box too. It is November and the AC ran like its 30° Degrees. I had to tell them everyday multiple times to shut it off because somehow it got turned on again and again. It was 15 degrees outside and the AC was blasting freezing air...
On the last night it was the exact opposit. The AC ran ultra hot. The room got scorching hot, really unbearable to be in. The other guys already tried to tell them for 3 hours before i came back to the hostel. Even the whole hallway of the floor got heated to summer levels.
I had to go 11 floors down to the lobby multiple times and argue with them for them to do manage to turn off the lava heated air spitting AC.
Even then the room wad way to heat to get some sleep as it was already 10:30 PM.
They also locked the window so we were trapped in the heat.
I asked them if we could open it else it would be impossible to sleep in there.
They would only agree if i had signed a really shady most definetly illegal paper which would have made me responsible for EVERY action that somebody did in that room.
Like throwing something out the window EVEN DRUG ABUSE
DONT GO THERE for your sake
Near a station
Nice terrace area with nice view
Knowledgeable staff who helped with map and desk is open all night (very good as I arrived at 1am after late flight)
Good stay, nice trip and the room was nice a modern, if a little small.
The service was okay but the charge to hold bags after checkout and general fee for most things was off putting.
Don't stay here. We just got home and found out we had bed bugs from this hostel. We emailed them to notify them and they didn't even bother to respond.
The service at the hostel was unfriendly and not particularly helpful - didn't want to give us any recommendations on what to do in the city.
Definitely don't recommend this place. Not sure how they got such great reviews to start with.
The location is in a quiet area with lots of local restaurants and supermarkets. The staff was nice and helpful. That is the only positive things I can say about in this hostel. The private bedroom was tiny and felt like a jail cell. The lights go out after a certain time and you’re left with your personal light only. $2 Euro for towel rental. Broken storage door in the room. Finally, my friend found a huge bed bug in her sheets on the last day. Yes, bed bugs! Do not recommend anyone to stay here.
Very basic hostel, small rooms, charging for towels is one thing but for bed sheets and luggage storage seems excessive. Staff were friendly enough but weren't particularly knowledgeable. Not central but near the metro so it doesn't take too long to get into town. If the price was cheaper it would have been fine but it felt like we were paying for a 3* hotel in Barcelona and instead got a hostel on the outskirts of town.
We only stayed one night, as we came of a cruise and needed a night to crash.
The location is a bit far from where most attractions are, but they do have a great view.
I booked this hostel for 3 days and I checked out after the first night. This place should only be for people under 25 that need a place to sleep or would like to meet new people. Although the hotel is organized with food options on the top floor and a kitchen and many activities for guests. I found it to be best for students unless you are staying in a room with people you know. I barley had any space in my little corner. The other guests had been there for days and had their clothes everywhere in the room and bathroom. One girl left her bra and panties on the floor in the bathroom with others leaving their toothbrushes and other bathroom things everywhere. I think the hostel should add shelves next to each beds for toothbrushes etc to somehow help others to be more organized in such a small space. 8 people in one room with 1 toilet is already hard enough.
