We liked how close we were to stores and restaurants, easy and free parking. What we didnt enjoy was the screaming, yelling, slamming of doors from the dozen or more kids in the hallway until past 1130pm even though we asked if they enforced quiet time and were told yes, 10pm. Drain for tub was completely plugged, although they did rectify it immidiately. There is no toilet paper holder, which seems odd (certainly not a deal breaker, but just weird) 1 tiny small samples of soap and shampoo/conditioner and 1 roll of toilet paper, so use sparringly, 2 bath towels-for 4 people (obviously we could have asked for more but shouldnt really need to chase for toilet paper, towels and soap when they know 4 people are coming)...we've stayed in hotels for less money for so much less hassle. The noise level was the real annoyance though. (Yes, we could have called to complain but we were on the main floor right down the hall from check in desk, there is no way front desk didnt notice.) Could we have called and complained about all our things, yes. Would they have fixed it...probably...should you have to call for 5 different things for a 1 night stay, less than 12 hours??? Not in our opinion. (To recap, the 5 things being: toilet paper, soap, towels, plugged drain and most importantly - noise)

Hotel and room was great, very convenient location close to groceries, stores and dining places. Breakfast was included was great and the time it was available was great. One thing we really appreciated from this place was they provided a juice/ coffee and tea station by the entrance for their guests, that was awesome thank you

Hotel was adequate for what we needed, however it was so packed with hockey teams and they spoiled our experience. We arrived at 9pm and there were parents standing outside right around the doors smoking and vaping. You had to walk right through the middle of them to go inside the building. Once inside there were kids galore running through the halls that we almost got run over twice just walking to our room, Then once the parents put the kids down, they went out into the halls and carried on their conversations at full volume. Finally at 11:45pm I had to tell them that there were people trying to sleep. Again, this is not necessarily the hotels fault, but I did decide we won’t be staying there ever again.

Best value and still best hotel

I stayed at the Travelodge Barrie with my kids and we had a great time. The process from booking, check in to check out was so easy and smooth. The staff were s very friendly and helpful. It's a very clean and well kept hotel. The room and bathroom and amenities where in perfect order. Comfortable and well stocked. Great free breakfast and free parking! Even socializing with other guests in the evening was a great time. This hotel had the best price and still had the best experience all around. Definitely will stay here again!

Room floor was freezing had to wear shoes or socks the entire stay, bathroom needs cleaning soap scum was visible. Saw a roach at reception area leaking in the hallways making slipping hazard no one attend the leak to clean area occasionally walls very thin can hear occupants next door

There were buckets in the hallways to catch water dripping from the roof. Why wasn’t this repaired? Pool closes way too early! 9 pm is ridiculous. No towels available at the pool and not enough in the room for the number of occupants. Room had spackle spray on baseboards. Most of the tv channels didn’t work or were blurred due to poor satellite connectivity. I won’t be back!
