I stayed a night with my mother, who is a wheelchair user. The staff, especially the manager who was on reception that day, and the housekeeper, were thoughtful and helpful in meeting my mother's needs. All other staff were friendly and efficient too. The rooms were clean, well appointed and suitable for our needs. My mother stayed in the wheelchair accessible room was great, but between there and the bar/restaurant were three sets of heavy doors and one steep ramp, which made getting there and back unnecessarily difficult. I would suggest the hotel fit soft/delayed-action door closers on this route and look at how the ramp could be made easier.
Enjoyable stay by the sea. Good hotel with a few quirks. Still undergoing development hence some areas rather sparse. Outside seating excellent and good views of sea. Dinner with good menu selections. Breakfast choices a little sparse particularly midweek. Would stay again.
I recently chose to stay at Cooden Beach Hotel, having known it for its high standards back in the 1980s when I lived nearby. I’m pleased to report that the hotel still offers the same good quality experience today. It’s reassuring that it has maintained its standards over the years.
A fantastic hotel in a unique location, but because we do not have a car, Cooden Beach (Southern) Railway station was only yards away together with the ease of hailing taxis to Bexhill-on-Sea.

Unhappy
We were disappointed with the general state of the bedroom, a high level of maintenance and dressing of bathroom was not met. Bathroom door was broken and there were faecal stains in the toilet. For the cost of the room, food and drinks I’d expect much better service and quality. We also did not like the fact the hotel was not exclusive to hotel guests only and therefore service on the terrace was poor and hotel guests like ourselves were not prioritised.
Beautiful hotel in immaculate condition and superb location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it had been longer.

Very nice suite that we stayed in but general decor throughout hotel was very inconsistent and just very random with nothing actually matching .
Breakfast on first morning very good value and pleasant. 2nd morning being Sunday it was a buffet which was somewhat chaotic as hot food not being attended to and kept running out.
Great location right next to the beach, hotel was clean and staff friendly we opted for an accessible room which was spacious and even had a small balcony overlooking the garden and beach. Would definitely recommend. Breakfast buffet was excellent and food in the restaurant in the evening was good.

Lovely hotel, excellent standards and very friendly staff.
Lovely hotel situated right on the pebbly beach at Bexhill. The restaurant, bar and lounge were excellent. Food in the evening really good and served by helpfull and attentive staff. Our room did not have a sea view as expected and paid for, but was spacious and well appointed. The staff were really helpful with our bike and went out of their way to look after it and keep it safe. This much appreciated. Sadly we had an issue with the shower over the bath and would recommend anyone to be careful if staying in this room to avoid a fall. The receptionist was very good when we reported the incident but to date have not received any follow up from Management. However, we would not hesitate to stay at the hotel again but would request a shower cubical insead.
Excellent check in, we were quite early and the very help friendly reception staff took names and said they’d ask if the cleaners could prioritise our room. We went off to get a coffee on the lovely terrace looking out at the ocean and our room was ready before we’d finished our drinks.
The room was large, bright, comfortable and a nice very. Decent shower in large bathroom with nice toiletries and towels.
What let things down a bit was the breakfast. Very small Buffett and lots of things empty and took ages to get replaced. From the cost I expect something much better.
Great location, views, outside area and access onto the beach.
Nice hotel, lovely welcome. Shower gel smelt great! Bed was comfy. Given the high price of the room (over £200) I would have expected it to be bigger, it was only just bigger than the bed! Appreciate it is an old building so they are probably tight on space!
We had a great stay . It was a lovely, comfortable room we standard in .
Service from start to finish was of a high standard.
We had a lovely few hours on the sun terrace next to the sea , great service again .
