The property is basic, the lifts are broken and the hotel is quite aged the bathroom sink had broken chip wood surrounding surface and the external and internal areas are old. It’s important to point out the Hotel is kept really CLEAN and the facilities are fine. The staff are friendly and helpful so for the price it represents good value if you’re not fussy. We slept well and paid the extra £10.00 for a later checkout. We were visiting family in the area not on vacation.
The photo's on the website are not like the actual room, to start with they wanted photo ID when husband didn't have his he refused us book in eventually said ok if we gave credit card it would be ok wasn't happy but we were do at a wedding.
We were on 3rd floor lift was broken felt like bottom floors are for non hotel guests felt very frightened going to our room the door lock look likes it has been mended a few times the bed was disgusting mattress was stained and no mattress cover used the bathroom as although clean need work.
Couldn't stay there disgusting and did not feel safe got changed and booked out. The guy on reception Couldn't careless when we explained just said fine no apologies was a bit worried about them having card details.
This place needs taking of Hotels.com website
The reception staff need training in "hospitality" instead of speaking to GUESTS as if they are a nuisance. The room keycard had to be reprogrammed EVERY day. I went up to my room on day 2 and the card didn't work. Lift NOT working, so had to schlep from third floor down to reception. Card reprogrammed and I was TOLD it had to be redone EVERY day??!! Back up to the third floor and it didn't work. Back down to reception and the girl smirked as she said sorry, programmed two cards and TOLD me to return the second when I'd done with it. Whole place smelt of cigarette smoke so I bought air freshener. The room itself (317) was one I had stayed in when this was still a Travelodge (and the lift worked!!). I reckon the mattress was from that time (early 2000s!!) as it was lumpy and ripped with a metal bit sticking out at the top corner. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.
Not great I was greeted by a very unhappy member of staff she was grumpy
I was given a room on the 3rd floor the lift was out of order and according to one of the cleaning staff the lift has be out of order for 2 months but according th your Web site it was working.
The room was not that bad but the bed was very uncomfortable.
I won't be staying again.
Traveled for work and never felt more uncomfortable in a hotel in my life we said we were disabled when booking (booked a hotel that had a lift ECT) lift didn't work and we were on the 3rd floor asked for help with our cases reception apologiesed but had no way to help we had to struggle before a patron helped us. thankfully the bed was incredible uncomfortable. The shower set off the fire alarm whenever u opened the bathroom door the toilet plumbing was noisy there was always people in the carpark playing music at reception smoking or just hanging around that weren't even staying there there was police there ever day having loud conversations about people they were searching for. The room key reset ever day so before u could go to your room you had to get it scanned again meaning anyone hanging round could hear ur room number. This wasn't even told to us so we climbed all the stairs (again we're disabled) before having to go back down and find out what was going on (we did call reception but the guy didn't answer) when I went down he said he came after us but clearly didn't as it took us a good 5mins to get our case up some of the staff were blatantly sexist to us and others. We even asked to use the bathroom while waiting to check in to be told no so had to sit for 3 hrs before shift change and the new girl finally let us. It's incrediblely run down which I wouldn't have minded if they staff didn't make it feel like we were an inconvenience I can go on but I'm out of space
No lift, room door broken lock.,i believe being for reffugee and other social problems

We never actually stayed as it was horrendous. Girl on reception had a face like a slapped back side no customer service skills at all.The place smelt of cigarettes and the lift was out of action we were meant to be on the 3rd floor. We had a look at the room I would not let a dog stay there. We actually went and stayed down the road at the premier inn. I have never seen anything like it to be honest you should pay us to stay there not the other way round.

It was one night, Room was spacious and well equipped,
Team is really friendly and cooperative
Budget hotel so room satisfactory. Hot water took too long to come through and the shower was really difficult to adjust.
Receptionist needs training to be customer friendly.
We were disappointed the single lift was out of order for 6 months and no-one mentioned it! We are in our 70s and no staff asked if we needed assistance with our suitcase to get to the 3rd floor!
Free parking is a bonus.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The bed in the room was very poor, however, the room was clean. The lift was not functioning, I had to walk through the stairs all the way to the last floor upstairs.
