The. Hotel is nice but the design of the rooms is a bit hit and miss. The bed canopy meant you couldn’t easily use the bedside table, there were no drawers but 2 wardrobes and the mirror in the bathroom was positioned so you couldn’t really see close up. The work on the hall meant there was dust and our room wasn’t cleaned on one of the two days. So a bit mixed

Lovely stay and fab breakfast.
We stayed here for 2 nights to see Kynren and Bishop Auckland. Our room was very nicely furnished with comfortable beds and fab bathroom. Very happy. Staff were very friendly and next time we visit we will use the additional cost spa facilities. Breakfast was delicious!

We enjoyed our stay at manor house. Made the most of the pool, sauna and steam room facilities. The staff were friendly and the area was nice and quiet. The only complaint we would have is that the vegan options (we were really grateful that there were some) in terms of the main course felt over priced for what they were. The chocolate mousse pudding was delicious though!

Great hotel, already on 2nd visit and will return.
Have stayed the last couple of weeks and cant fault the place at all, very helpful and friendly staff, nice rooms - stayed in the cottage room last week and Deluxe room this week, cottage ones are fine and have everything you need.. Deluxe are nuch bigger with seperate seating area etc, well worth the extra if you want a treat...
