The hotel is a bit outdated but the friendliness and great customer service of the staff makes up for it. If you don't mind the 5 minute walk toward the beach, itself is a plus. Take an e-trike to go to DMall for different food options or get an e-trike to different food locations. Remember to negotiate the price with the driver for a great deal. Overall, I won't mind using the same accommodation especially for a big family like ours (8 people in total) as they can comfortably accommodate big families. Other hotels would probably have us book 2 rooms but IL Mare was able to place us in 1 big room with 3 queen beds and 2 single beds. Tight quarters?! Sure, but being with family for bonding is not.

IL Mare is a great place for a big group. There are 8 of us and the accommodation thou only one room is very comfortable and enough beds. It's a bit dated but very clean and excellent customer service. The staff are very helpful and responds to requests promptly. If you don't mind the 5 minutes walk to the beach, its worth it. It's not as loud and busy as it's not a beachfront hotel. Only serves breakfast but there are different food options close to the hotel either walk to or ride the e-trike. I would recommend 👌

The staff are very friendly, accommodating, courteous, always around to give a helping hand. The breakfast buffet were fresh every morning and lots to choose from. Plenty of towels and toiletries needs. The staff are very happy to serve.

I had one of the best experiences ever at this hotel. The staff are attentive and make sure guests are well taken care of. Krizza was very professional and answered all of my questions. Argean is upbeat and professional. Rolly provided exceptional service . All the employees went out of their way to provide the best service.

Front desk staff is great, they will always provide a smile and are super welcoming. First few days the WiFi didn’t work on the second floor but the issue was taken care of. We loved boracay so much we even extended our stay here and at the same hotel!

The staff were not just friendly, but jovial and responsive. Appreciated that they had umbrellas and beach mats to lend at no cost. Honest views/recommendations on restaurants and bars on the island. The rooms we booked for 8 people were spacious. For improvement-- fix the tiles in the pool, and perhaps better ventilation for the breakfast room.

Overall experience: awesome. The staff, particularly Argen ( not sure about the spelling) went out and beyond to make our stay more comfortable. Breakfast was great. The best feature of Il Mare is their wonderful staff. They were very attentive to our needs. They made sure we were comfortable. We checked out early but they made sure breakfast was available before the actual breakfast time. Overall the staff exceeded my expectations. As for the place, it is also very nice, clean and the rooms are really comfortable. We occupied the family room and my family was very pleased that it had 5 big beds. Very nice hotel, will definitely come back and recommend to friends

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; I'd hire them anytime! The facilities were excellent except for no elevator (we were on the fourth floor). A five minute walk to the beach and restaurants but that was offset by the reasonable price of the rooms. I would stay here again.

The Hotel is in station 2 just mention the church in loop road and the etrike driver should know it. Its centered between Station 3 , 1 and even close enough to Bulabog Beach for water activities.. ( e-trike cost 15 pesos per pax ). Were surprised that a free buffet type breakfast was also included and the menu changes everyday..The bathroom is clean and the staffs are very friendly and helpfull..We've stayed there 5 days and 4 nights..

After my previous disaster of another property, this property is great. Super friendly service with a smile, a laugh and the sounds of the porter singing in the morning, I can thoroughly recommend this place. Located just off the main road on the border of station 1 and 2, restaurants and cafes galore, nice walk to small along the beach, buffet breakfast changing each day at the onsite restaurant, nice cool swimming pool, what more could you ask for! I will be staying.on my next visit for sure. Lots of love to all the team there they are fantastic.

Didn't take long to get checked in. The staff is polite and helpful. I looked over the room to see the... view 🤔. Also, I noticed the fridge was warm, and the thermostat dial was broken. I then looked over the trusty safe, which you can just put under your arm and walk out, or throw it out the window to a friend waiting down below if you'd like. Luckily, I didn't carry much for valuables. The door had one lock, which made me nervous, but no issues. Let's talk about noise now. Yes, the roosters crow nonstop, I can handle nature, but this is excessive. The worst part is the parents yelling and the kids running and screaming, along with slamming doors. Plus, the footsteps up the stairs. That's right, no elevator for you folks! On to the pool... its deepest is 4 feet in the middle. It's a pool for your kids. For beach access, you'll need to walk about a block up, then cut through the narrow alleyway. Even though the staff is good and it's a decent looking place, I won't be returning.
