Nuthurst is ideally located to make the most of this fabulous coastal surfing resort in North Devon. The accommodation provides the perfect base for your family holiday being just a short walk from pubs, restaurants, shops, and the footpath to the beach. The property is even pet friendly (*charges apply).

Living/Dining/Kitchen
The property has an open plan kitchen/dining/living room with French doors opening out to the enclosed garden (ideal for BBQ's), well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine & microwave. There is a dining room with table and chairs for 6 people. The living room provides comfortable seating plus a flat screen TV with Freeview.

Sleeping
Nuthurst is a three-bedroom property all of which are located on the same ground floor level. The Master bedroom has a double bed and access to the garden through sliding doors. There is also a second double bedroom overlooking garden and third bedroom with double bed with single bunk over plus additional single bed (ideal for a child as it is not full length.)

Bathing
Family bathroom with shower over bath, wash basin and WC, plus a separate WC.

Outside
The exterior of the property provides a patio area with table and chairs for al fresco dining, lawned enclosed garden and coal BBQ provided. There is parking for 2 vehicles to the front and steps up to the lawned front garden. Nuthurst now has an outside hot shower and a seating area at the front as well as a new patio.

BOOKING INFORMATION
Please note that you are booking via an external channel and not directly through Ocean Cottages, therefore any information not provided directly from Ocean Cottages cannot be fully relied upon and pricing may differ. Please check payment and cancellation terms prior to confirming your booking.

There is a refundable security deposit of £100 payable with the final balance (not applicable to Airbnb bookings) - please note this will not be shown in the total cost of the booking on the summary screen. The security deposit is refunded within 14 days of departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection)

Full payment is due if arrival is within 10 weeks. For bookings made 10+ weeks in advance a deposit of 50% plus the £60 non-refundable booking fee is due. The final balance and security deposit (if applicable) is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.

For Bookings confirmed with VRBO, Ocean Cottages will take your payment prior to confirming your booking, this could be up to 72 hours after receiving your confirmation from VRBO. If we are unable to accept your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible. Airbnb take payment on our behalf and pay us after your stay, they will confirm the dates and amounts due when you make your booking.

It is not possible to add any extras when booking via VRBO/Airbnb and therefore the costs of any extras will not be included within the price shown, extras must be requested and paid for directly with Ocean Cottages.

We loved everything about the bungalow it was ideal for us all being over 60 with various ailments.we couldn’t have asked for anything else , it was like a home from home The area is lovely and views great Would stay again at this bungalow My three dogs had the time of their lives having a garden to play in.thank you

Wonderful relaxing stay in a clean and comfortable cottage
I stayed at Nuthurst with my husband and two sons aged 23 and 15. We loved it! The youngest enjoyed the double lower bunk in the family room, and the rest of us also had reasonable-sized doubles. There is a lovely comfy lounge and a well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom was nice and clean, as was the additional toilet - a useful feature. The whiole place was clean and perfect for us. The most wonderful feature was the garden - on both sides of the house: a lovely enclosed garden at the back which was great for our two dogs, for playing our Swingball game and for eating dinner ( I don't think we ate indoors once in two weeks!); and a fab second front garden with a rotary clothes line and a table and chairs - perfect for breakfast and aperitifs. We loved the mature shrubs and flowers too! The cottage is perfectly located in a very quiet road just behind the main high street of Croyde, with great walkable access to the Croyde beach, and within easy driving distance of lovely Saunton Sands and Putsborough Beach. Also there's a nice quiet lane just around the corner from the house, which is great for dog walks - we walked half way to Saunton one day. Both Ocean Cottages and Gemma the housekeeper were very responsive and helpful. All in all, we could not have had a more pleasant stay.

It was a great place to stay with my wife, daughters and our little dog. The location was perfect for the beach and walks. The weather was also wonderful and I am sure we will be back again!

Convenient location, nice propery with outdoor space
This property is clean and as it appears in the photos. The garden is nicer looking than the photos. We enjoyed eating outside most evenings at the small table outside the kitchen, catching the afternoon sunshine. The neighbourhood was quiet but only seconds stroll to the village centre. There is a traffic-free lane to the bay and beach about 10 minutes' walk away. The surf in Croyde Bay can get pretty rough at times and they have a team of RNLI life-guards on duty, including someone patrolling the waves on a jet-ski. I don't know if they are there all year or just at certain times. The only thing which let the property down, for me, was that there doesn't seem to be a proper recycling scheme - you're supposed to put everything in one of two bins (I didn't work out what the other bin was for). Reluctant to let it go into land-fill, we ended up taking most of our recyclable waste away with us, which was not ideal as we already had limited space in the car.

Functional property in a lovely location
This was our first Xmas away ever and everyone loved it! We were a party of 4 adults + 2 young adults 18/20 + 1 child, not forgetting 3 dogs 😊. Property is well designed and plenty of space, only 1 bathroom but two toilets so we managed absolutely fine. There is also an outside shower with hot water and outside tap with hose to sort out those muddy/sandy paws after the walk. The kitchen was well equipped and Xmas dinner was a success, 2 pubs in the village were very good with huge variety of Gin! as well as other beverages ...and good food. Croyde Beach short 10/15 min away and Saunton Sands about half an hour coastal walk away. Some bigger supermarkets near by approx 15 min away in Braunton or more choice in near by Barnstaple. We will be back!
