We have been to this hotel several times but it is starting to get tired. Staff were friendly but very busy - less around than previous visits. Our room had no electricity initially but this was quickly sorted. Then we had not hot water so cold / no shower before dinner. We heard later was the whole hotel. Again this was sorted overnight so could have shower next morning.

Wonderful staff
I took my mum for a two day break and she unfortunately got heatstroke and wasn’t feeling well. The staff (in particular the two Donna’s) were so lovely and caring.

RUN DOWN WANTS SOME T.L.C.windows do not open broken rope bathroom tap drips toilet seat moves,bathroom door catch needs repairing,chair want repairing arms torn at the edges and leavesinsides on the floor the bedroom therefore needed cleaning lots of mess on the floor.It is a wonderful hotel but a little run down it is in the ideal site for us very convenient.

Friendly pub with lovely food.
This pub is in need of a complete overhaul, new management just taken over and work starting soon. Food in Restraunt was excellent with great choices, recommend the steak and ale pie. Breakfast very good value with many options available. The rooms are very dark and tired with most if not all being on the main road. No a/c and rooms very warm, difficult balance whether window open for cool breeze but then noisy from road traffic. Be aware that the front door should always be available to use after closing, however we were locked out because of an issue with the mechanism and out of hours contact number not answered by duty night manager.

The rooms are small but well presented with all the accessorise you would expect. The bar is stocked with the usual Greene King beers along with the standard Greene King menu. Service was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was again super.

Lovely overnight stay.
Very nice place, food was very good and the place was ideal location, as we were watching a concert at the Westonbirt Arbouretum. Definately stay here again.

This was a country pub and hotel, easy to find 15 minutes from Bath…very comfortable and not a standard chain hotel, very much the Country Inn that we wanted

We had a lovely stay at the cross hands old sodbury We checked in and on arrival we where told breakfast was between 7.00 am & 10.00 am So that was fine but on the Saturday we wanted breakfast at 7.00 as we where showing dogs in a dog show at Bath Only to be told breakfast was between 8.00 and 10.00 on a weekend So we had to miss breakfast As we had to leave at 8.00 am Wasn’t happy as I had paid for two breakfasts which we didn’t get

Room was good although very squeaky floorboards making a lot of noise in the night using the bathroom. The main problem was breakfast on the last morning, we asked for Apple juice and was told they had run out, ok there was a substitute, then there was the fruit we were told again they had run out, with out even checking, the icing on the cake was the pastries, we asked for them because we had had them on other days, only to be told there are 16 guests and there are 16 pastries once they are gone there are no more, when I said what happens if people have more than one the answer was they run out quicker. I relayed this to another lady that worked there just before we left called Donna, she was devastated by the comments and said had she been on duty she would have said can you wait 20mins and then would have put some in the oven. One member of staff ruined the break.

It was a very comfortable room, but a litte dated and scruffy round the edges. the staff were all really good - cheerful (moslty!) and friendly which helps a lot. I had a room on the ground floor which opened into the car park so wasn't keen on leaving the window open - it didn't have a lock 'airing' mode, but not a big deal. It felt safe enough. Food options were ecellent and the meal I had was great value for money.
