Do not stay at Colony Inn
Rooms were gross; light in bathroom didn’t work had to ask to get it fixed. I had to go back after waiting 45 mins ; guy was rude. Only gave us 1 key even though I ordered the 3 queen bed room ( wanted to charge me $5 dollars for another key) they wanted security deposit in cash .

This place is a dump, smelled like ammonia so bad it gives you a headache, all furniture falling apart, fixtures falling off the wall, bedding had holes in it, bathroom was filthy. Asked for another room and it was the same. Doors falling apart. Absolutely disgusting.

Rooms were pretty beat up. Broken lights, scratched TV, cracked sink. Occasional cockroach. cheap linens, loud guests, barking dogs, idiots honking. Other than that it was an ok stay! Staff at front desk was nice.

STAY AWAY!
Get ready, they want $100 cash only to for a safety deposit. I get it you need something for incidentals but with no other option but cash ridiculous… next we went into the room and were told not to worry about the missing drawers they already knew about that but was met with the room being totally disgusting. There was blood on the sheets and other brown marks all over. ALL THREE BEDS WERE HORRENDOUS.There was mosquitos and flies. The toilet seat was wet. Someone stole the fire detector because there wasn’t one on the wall! The tv remote wasn’t for the tv in the room . Just all around horrible. Avoid this place like the plague.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Like sleeping on a piece or wood. The pillows were so thin.

For starters the price was not what was quoted when i booked the room, which I am still trying to fight. Next, they dont tell you that they take cash for the incidentals. The toilet did not work for 2 days afer asking several times to fix it. The ice machine was broken. The only plus was that it was across the street.

We arrived to a room that was clearly a room that had a history of smoking in the room. My throat was immediately affected as was my wife’s bronchitis. The top drawer was full of clothes and papers from someone else. The bathroom floor was wet because the toilet leaked at the base. The room was generally very unclean besides the bed. We were offered towels for the wet floor and fabreeze to mask the odor. We declined and found another place to stay short notice. We have still yet to have our stay refunded even with Expedia trying to assist 3 days later.

Good size room with 3 beds, across the street from Knotts berry farms, but the beds were not comfortable. They only gave us 4 bath towels when the room is for 6 people. When we asked for more she said there was only one left and they had no hand towels or wash clothes. Blankets did not look clean either.

Staff friendly. Rooms clean but older. Microwave and great little fridge...kept our ice for days. Very close to walk to Knotts Berry Farm...just a few minutes away and I'm 71 years old, Pool was clean and conveniently close to rooms. Will definately go back again. Read bad reviews before I arrived and was relieved to find that they weren't true at all!

Staying at The Colony Inn was nothing short of a horror show. The moment my family walked in, we were greeted with broken furniture, broken walls and stained bedding that screamed neglect. The comforters had holes and stains, It was too late to move into another hotel. We dropped our bags and left the room. When we returned at 2am, I rang the front desk for clean sheets. We were later met with cockroaches in every corner, making it impossible to feel at ease. To top it all off, the room lacked essential smoke detectors, posing a serious fire hazard. After only a few hours in the room we decided to check out and leave the area. The Colony Inn needs a complete overhaul to even come close to acceptable standards.

Where to start? This place is disgusting. At check in, they demanded a cash only deposit, insisting its in the terms on the website (it’s not). The room reeked of cigarette smoke, the carpet was torn and stained, and there was red staining on the ceiling- I hope it’s not blood!The furniture and fixtures were broken. I checked the chair they used for a nightstand but there was no phone. No answer when I called the desk, even though the guy was standing there. I got a new room, it had slightly better smell. But tons of mildew in the bathroom and it looks like the toilet seat was used as a cutting board. By now we were late for dinner and Knotts. We got back at 2am to find the sheets were dirty. Actual dirt in the bed. And stained sheets. Then we found a roach. When my son moved a chair to plug in his phone, there was dog poop on the carpet near the corner. Absolutely disgusting. We never unpacked. We grabbed our bags and left. I woke up the clerk to get my deposit back and told him all about the problems. He didn’t care and said it wasn’t his fault. Avoid this place.
