Poor condition hotel
Water started to leak from the roof of the room we booked. Called reception and maintenance and no one took action. Also water was leaking from various roof ceilings of the entire hotel restaurants and lobby.

This hotel has showed me a new low. If you’ve ever wanted to take a trip back to the 90s and eat awful food, this hotel would be for you. First the dining was truly limited as well as super low quality, there was no variety and if something was empty forget about new food coming out for yourself, it seems the buffet worked on a fist come first serve basis. The service of the whole hotel was so bad it was almost laughable. Every meal we had to chase down an employee to get us a cup of water (and no it wasn’t busy) they would simply just be talking amongst themselves. Want some help from reception? Forget about it. It should have been a red flag when we first arrived to this hotel seeing the amount of people complaining at reception, a foreshadow of the following day. We wanted to make a reservation for one of the restaurants, we try use the app, the app doesn’t work. We go to the restaurant itself, no one is to be found. We go to the reception desk they send us to guest services. The lady working for guest services is no where to be found. We go back to reception then proceed to speak with them for an hour and a half and in the end still no reservation. It was truly mind boggling the lack of care and work ethic of the people working at this hotel. SAVE YOURSELF TIME, ENERGY, AND MONEY and go somewhere else. This place is simply not worth it.

Simply awesome: Cons: - Vegetarian (especially Indian vegetarian) people may suffer for lack of food options. - Room service is chargeable $5 USD each service like food or any other. Requesting bottled water or towels was not charged. So don't hesitate for that. Pros: - Activities, food, drinks, environment, pools, service, snacks, kids activities, everything was superb. Loved the stay. - kids club is a big deal winner for Royal Solaris. - GR carribe and Royal Solaris are interconnected so get stay at whichever you like. I guess GR is 5-star so may be better. - we got ocen facing jacuzzi fitted room which was awesome. Highly recommended. Especially for family with kids.

For an all inclusive the amount of beer allowed per day was only 2 mini bottles to your room per day. Most of the staff there were not friendly or helpful but some were excellent. There is one pool for quieter people which is great. Food was good but never any bacon for breakfast. The VIP lounge was very small and very noisy. I had clothing go missing from my room and got no answer as to where it might be. Had to ask several times about if it had been found. Filled out a security report about the missing clothes and security tossed our room looking for it. Under my mattress?! Really?! All in all it was a vacation to the sun which was great

We had a 3pm check in only to be told to come back in 20 minutes as our room was not ready. Over 40 minutes to find out that they over booked and didn’t have a room for us. They switched us to another hotel up the road and the first 5 minutes in the room and I was locked in the bathroom as the door was broken. Then the toilet handle broke the next day.. then no real a/c in the room. The room key almost never worked properly.. both of them. They were doing major construction on the hall outside our room.. noisy and every day we had to dodge ladders, workers and sheet rock dust just to get to the elevator. Horrible experience!! Never again!! We also were told they had Vegan options for my wife and there were almost Zero options. We feel like we were yes’d to death and the hotel came through with nothing. You couldn’t even get dinner at a restaurant unless you made a reservation days in advance. The only thing good about the trip was the two women that worked in the spa that gave a wonderful massage. Other than that the whole experience was Awful!
