Why do they ask for a fifty pound holding deposit comes out of you bank v quick and takes days to be refunded didn’t spend on any extras so should be refunded when you book out there and then a good way to make money on deposits while they have it mould smell in the room won’t be staying again
Excellent place to stay. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Only four stars as the room was a bit cold and no heat from the radiator until the morning. Great value and expect to stay there again.
Booked the hotel stay a few months ago for an overnight stop on our way to Aldershot Raceway.
The staff on reception were helpful on our arrival. We were a party of 6 including 2 children * booked 3 rooms. We were allocated rooms in the Grange which was a good 10 mins walk from the main hotel. Fortunately we were taken by golf buggy to our rooms.
Our room was quite small but adequate for a 1 night stay. The lighting was very poor & the room was dated. Both double sockets at either side of the bed had 1 socket that didn’t work. The room was cold but an electric fire was provided. The bathroom was very dated & the toilet basin was all stained. The toilet had a very poor flush on it. The bath was very slippy & no rubber mat was provided. We were away early the following morning but the shower was cold with no hot water. The curtains didn't close properly so this was a privacy issue as well as a sleep issue. Good to have 2 pillows but the bed was very uncomfortable. Very disappointing indeed & not what we expected from the pictures on the website.
Beautiful hotel and lovely room for a last minute booking. Although, the room was really hot and stuffy as the radiator was (unnecessarily) on and we couldn’t open the sash window as it had been painted shut. Had to use a fan all night. Also, only one bedside table. I would still come here again as it was great value for such a lovely location.

On first impression everything looked great, the grounds were lovely, however, on closer inspection of the room there were areas for improvement; cleanliness needs improving there were hairs on the cushions and blood on the wall of the bathroom. The shower was leaking and there was visible grime in the plugs. The restaurant was nice, but service was a little bit slow, also, there wasn’t much choice for individuals who do not like spicy food. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the bed was comfortable and the room was a good size with a lovely view.
First impressions of the hotel were really good. Its beautiful and the grounds were stunning. Check in was quick and easy and the lady on reception was polite. We didnt stay in the main hotel so i cannot comment on that. We were in The Grange, we had 3 rooms within the group and all of them were awful. There was hardly any water pressure. One of the rooms couldnt flush the toilet, the door handle to the outside area was broken. My room looked like someone had just put any old furniture in there. There was light bulbs out of tbe lights, the towel rail was held on by tape, the bed was completely broken and had to sleep the other way around because it was so bad. Room i wouldnt say was clean there was sugar packets in the bed. Ok if your not fussy and a quick stop over. Would not stay more than 1 night. 2/10
This was our 4th stay at Warbrook, and we have always found it excellent. Sadly on this occasion, Sunday breakfast was chaos... the staff (who I have to say were doing a marvellous job under very difficult circumstances) were rushed off their feet - people were constantly having to wait for the cooked breakfast items to be replenished, and I personally was very disappointed that there was no yoghurt to go with the fruit selection, they had simply run out.
Beautiful grounds. Fantastic restaurant and terrific breakfast. Lottie (server) really made an impression on my husband. He asked for oat milk on the first morning with breakfast (which they did have), and she remembered on our second morning and brought him oat milk before he even asked.
Excellent value for money.
From the drive in we were expecting some thing great. The grounds were impressive. We were greeted warmly as we checked in, however did not relise that we were staying in a building a distance from the main hotel. We had to drive arpund for breakfast.
The room was basic. While everything was clean, the rooms felt uncared for and were missing the quality of the main building. The divan bed frame was visible and this made the room look tired.
We chose to pay for breakfast which worked out £10 each. The breakfast was strange. The tables were really small for 4 people and you were having to play tetris with your cups.
The cooked breakfast seemed that it had been hanging around a while as the scrambled egg was a little dry and crusty. There was an option for fried eggs which i selected. They arrived after I'd finished my breakfast.
The second day we had breakfast we were disappointed with the lack of service and greeting. Instwad of a good morning, we were told we had to pay extra for breakfast. This we knew and had booked breakfast the previous day. Breakfast closed at 9.30, many guests arrived after 9. We were all shocked when the door to the breakfast food and drink was clsed without warning as we were sat down. A polite notice would have been appreciated. However this waitress did not have any pleasantries and struggled to even smile.
We would stay again, as what we paid was acceptable for the quality of the room.
The Grange rooms on the far side of the Grange building are not suited for hot weather conditions at all. The windows are in full sun all afternoon and evening. We had to have the window open and fan on, with just a sheet to attempt to sleep in comfort. As the window was open, lots of insects came into the room, including a hornet. Bathroom floor was uneven. Fixtures and furniture were rather worn out.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the grounds are beautiful.
