Peter went above and beyond. Picked us up from the airport without any issues, extremely accommodating and warm. Helpful with directions and recommendations on what to see and do. The room itself was spotless and cozy. 10/10 highly recommend. They are fantastic people and run a great lodge! Thank you for everything!

A quiet little oasis not far from Christchurch airport, they offer a shuttlebus service, the room was spotlessly clean, bed was super comfortable, the owners are delightful. Easy walking distance to eateries and supermarket, self catering is an option in the kitchenette. Lovely garden setting.

Lovely property for what it is. Seemed to be a family business run with pride. But there’s nothing nearby for eating or shopping. I had to drive a couple km for that. And when I did laundry (I did appreciate having that ability), I couldn’t get the dryer to dry the clothes. My suite was full of wet clothes laid out to dry with a portable heater running overnight and me getting up in the night to turn the clothes over so they would be dry by morning. Still, I may stay there again at the end of my trip. It’s near the airport.

The owner was really friendly and welcoming. I travel a lot and this was one of the best places I've been as far as staff and attitude goes. The room was perfect with everything you need in the kitchenette. Warm room and electric blanket. All very clean and with a lovely NZ wilderness mural on the wall. The shower pressure was AMAZING! The gardens were beautiful. I will certainly be back.

We stayed one night in room 1. It was super clean and smelled very clean. Bed was super comfortable and bathroom was roomy and warm. The flowers in the gardens and the grounds are just beautiful. We will definitely return.

Generally top notch. Garden and trees around the units look great. Very clean and modern units and a genuine excellent host. Some dislike; plastic kettle, you wouldn’t drink a cup of coffee or tea in a plastic mug so who wants to boil the water in a plastic jug!? Bed covers were heavy to sleep under, to remove it the thin duvet wasn’t sufficient. Needs a thicker duvet on top of the thinner one and do away with those heavy bed covers which look great but are horrible to sleep under. Difficult to sleep with a large water tank above the bedroom in the roof space, whenever someone in unit or adjourning units uses water tap or shower or toilets sets the refilling of the tank off sounding like a boiling jug when you’re trying to sleep. There needs to be sound proofing with such things.
