Booked and paid for room 29 October, for 29 November. Arrived 10.30 pm at Manchester Airport. Tried 6 times to request courtesy bus. Arrived at Hotel approx 11.00pm told room would be 5 to10 mins and would call me when ready, given courtesy drink at bar. 45 mins later told again would be another 5 to 10 mins, expressed my displeasure! and got to my room after midnight. Phoned Clayton Hotel today 2 Dec, spoke to lady who said that the Manager would get back to me, this over an hour ago and still waiting. Make your own mind up

As always you feel like you have just into an old friends house, staff bend over backwards to make you stay as comfortable as possible. Good job guys.

Pleasant place to stay before an early flight
Check-in staff were very helpful and patient. Hotel was clean and comfortable with a good restaurant. Only let down was there was some black mould on the bathroom silicone and the bottom of the bathroom door had chunks missing. Looked like the result of water damage. Shame really because the rest of the hotel looked good.

A convenient hotel for an overnight stop before an early morning flight. Easy check in and this was the very first time (of c20 bookings) that my VIP status resulted in a room upgrade. The shuttle bus to the airport terminals is a bonus. This hotel ticks all the boxes if you’re looking for a decent quality venue next to the airport - nothing to shout from the rooftops about and nothing to complain about either

We had a 2 double bedded room for one night, having arrived from a late, long haul flight. We had to wait 30 minutes for the shuttle bus in freezing conditions. I asked if we could wait inside the terminal and receive a call when bus on route… call came when we wer ON the bus! Our to was cold, heating didn’t work. Reception said they could put it on their end - but never felt warm all night. Bed one - wrinkled bottom sheet, bed 2 had hair inside. Bed 1 moved every time turned in the bed (on hard floor). Toilet pan was badly cracked against the wall and was dusty. Shower screen had no seal at bottom of door and floor got soaked. Had to ask for extra towels so we could all shower without having to share!
