After being in our room couple hours, we noticed the floor was wet near the large wall mirror and AC vent. We kept wiping with towels thinking it was from one of our ice chests but after moving everything from the area, the floor still kept getting wet. Our socks kept getting wet and someone almost fell. I took a picture, went down to the front desk to let the clerk know what was happening, and she sent maintenance to take a look. Maintenance came, unscrewed the vent, was in there for not even 10 minutes to tell us we can’t have the air conditioner “On” during the day because its condensation from it being hot outside. So during the day our room was not cool yet the floor still kept forming wet spots in the same area as before. We had entirely too much going on to keep going downstairs about this so we just laid towels down and avoided walking in that area. I’ve stayed at this place before wi the out any problems, but now I’m questioning any future stays.

For an extended stay, this wouldn't be what I would chose. Limited dining options and what is available very pricey. Walls very thin and property looking a tad worn for being rather new. Whatever cleaning solutions used has a very strange scent which smells like animal pee or sour mops are being used. Next time, we're chosing another location, when we come for events at the Cynthia Woods pavilion.

Early check in fee?!
I arrived at 2pm, and hour before checkin. There was no one in the lobby and I waited like 2 minutes for the girl to come check me in. She then tells me it’s $25 to check in early. Never heard of this in my entire life, I’ve also stayed at several aloft hotels before. She claimed it was due to availability. Yet, there was a room available. The worker was rude as all get out.

I liked the area and convenience to nearby businesses. The staff was excellent in helping us when we needed to adjust our reservation. The room needs much more lighting but otherwise a good value.

Such a nice hotel! We stayed only for one night but wish we could’ve stayed longer! Check in was very awesome too - Clarissa (I hope I spelled her name right!) was absolutely amazing and so nice and really treated us so kindly! We definitely appreciated her checking us in! Definitely would recommend this location !
