We'll absolutely never stay at this hotel again. We went to stay in Cork with the intention of getting a good night's rest before an early flight out from Cork Airport, a very brief distance from the hotel. The hotel receptionist was very friendly and helpful in getting us sorted out. We arrived at our first room (316) and within the first minute or so, we discovered that the carpet between the bed and the bathroom was sopping wet. That explained the damp musty smell of the room. As we weren't satisfied in getting saturated walking around the bed before sleep, we went downstairs to change room. She offered another room, 304, which we discovered had no working lights by the bed and the room was only lit by a single light near the room door.. we laughed it off and said forget it, we'll just go to bed and sleep. We were woken up at 01:30 to a howling gale blowing through the window seams, as the window seal was completely failed on the window. With the wind outside, it meant that this very loud whistling continued until we eventually heard the alarm going off at 05:45, which I was already awake for, many hours leading up to it. All in all, a terrible stay. Breakfast was too late for our flight time of 07:50, so we had to eat in the airport instead. It would seem practical to offer breakfast to airport customers at an earlier time, given that it's in their name.
