I have been up all night vomiting from food poisoning. I called the desk at 630am and was told to wait up until 730am to talk to the front desk person about a late check out. My flight is leaving at 345. I asked if I could please keep the room for an additional two hours because I was extremely sick, and also already disabled with a traumatic brain injury which makes traveling extremely difficult and dangerous as is. I am prone to confusion, getting lost, and losing important items. Throw in a stomach bug and no sleep it’s a recipe for disaster. Instead of being treated kindly when I called I was told I had to rebook for an extra night. I begged the woman to allow me to pay for a few hours and she told me there was a bathroom for me to puke in in the lobby. When I expressed that I’d appreciate if she treated me with more kindness and compassion she was rude. I came down to bring her my credit card, and she was extremely rude and condescending. Ableism in 2024 is not a good look, and you guys are lucky if this type of behavior doesn’t land you a lawsuit. When my partner called from Denver with concerns that I had been overcharged in retaliation, the same woman refused to give him her name or tell him what she had put on my card (she didn’t tell me either). When he became frustrated she told him to go f himself. I had to call the police who told me to dispute the charges. Please be warned, this is a pattern for them.
