Torn carpets in the room!
I booked this hotel because I thought holiday inn was a well known brand. The most surprising thing was the state of the carpet in the room. It was torn in several places. While the cleaning staff is doing a great job, I wonder why the hotel wouldn't replace the carpet that is torn in so many places. Everything inside the room looks like it is at least 20 years old. They seem to work hard to keep it clean, but why not upgrade it? The front desk staff were polite and helpful. The 3 stars are the cleaning staff and the front desk. For the same rate, there are much better hotels, I think I made a poor choice.

My room had stains everywhere, I have photos to prove. One looked like it was old vomit. Check-in took way longer because NO one was in the office when I got there. The A/C couldnt fully cool down my room how I like it. My girlfriend and I stayed the 1st night and that was it. Our last 2 nights we moved to the Parker hotel on Mainstreet. I want a refund to be honest. This was one of the worst stays I had in a long time.

We changed rooms once (carpet completely chewed up) but the 2nd was worse. There was only a blackout curtain, no shade. So it was pitch dark or bright sun looking right into the parking lot. When I asked they said “they were falling apart so we took them all down.”also the faucet would barely turn on and the chair was filthy. We’ve stayed there often and were surprised at the condition

Hotel was outdated and worn. Paint missing from multiple easy visable areas. Room had multiple stains on the carpeting and chair. Trim in the bathroom was missing and sticking out from yhe wall. Stayed at 5 different hotels on my 2500 miles 7 state trip and would rank this hotel as #5 out of them. If i were to come back to the Denver area I'd probably choose a different hotel.

This is a large theme based (early 20th cent) building that has the potential to being at least a 4 star hotel with a minimum investment. The rooms are excellent. The hallways are terrible (really dirty,shabby, worn out, out of date, dingy and dark. From the outside I thought this was pretty impressive. But the lobby is so uninviting. The lights are yellow, everything is dark brown. It just needs new lighting and a decorating update. The bones are there, but lets get some skin in the game. All this should have been noticed by any managing company. DK manager should be replacedterrible

Unfortunately the weekend we were there was the hottest weekend for colorado. I was in room 321 and repeatedly told the front desk the air was not working . It was hotter in the room then outside. They couldnt get me another room. They offered to flip circuit breaker. It was like they knew they were selling rooms without working a.c. because another family was habing the sane problem.
