It lies 140 kilometres to the east of Amsterdam, the capital of Netherlands.

The peaceful sounds of the natural world await you at 't Goor Park. It sits just 45 kilometres away, so you won't need to be stuck in a car all day. Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park Hellendoorn Entrance, 50 kilometres away, is one more popular choice.

If you can't imagine a getaway without some sports action, look up the event schedule at De Boshoek. It's likely something will be happening while you're in town. You can locate the venue 25 kilometres away in Hardenberg.

The Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen and Emmerdennen Hunebed are not far from the middle of Holsloot, 3 kilometres to the south. Want more? Barger-Erfscheidenveen, 3 kilometres to the southeast of Erm, is home to Plopsa Indoor Coevorden and the ATLAS Theater.
