Blueberry Ridge is a beautiful log home nestled in the midst of Leatherwood Mountains Resort, a gated vacation resort offering horseback riding, restaurant and bar, tubing, biking, miles of trails and streams, fly fishing, wedding and corporate retreats, family reunions and much more. This home is a perfect get away from city life. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquility as you relax in natural surroundings. Sneak away and enjoy some time in the reading room or gather in the large living area and kitchen on the main level featuring a gas fireplace and an island bar. The outside deck has breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is a king master suite on the main floor with a whirlpool bath. The lower level contains a media room with a large screen TV, air hockey, and foosball game tables. There are two more bedrooms on the lower level (queen and two single beds) and a bath.

MERLEFEST stay

This is a terrific home. We do hope that you will put screens on the windows as well as allow guests to better control air system. We could neither open windows (bugs) nor establish a stable temperature or find a way to have constant fan ventilation. So too warm and stuffy for folks from the desert West. Also, we hope you will provide additional towel sets. We don't use the same towels for 5d at home and we were gone 90% of our waking hours so doing a load of towels wasn't possible. I do recommend this property for anyone wanting to enjoy the Blue Ridge. We post this as suggestions for improvement not as public complaining.

Perfect escape… with a view!
This was exactly what we wanted for vacation - isolated, stunning view, amazing house. Every night, we sat on the back deck and watched the sun set over the mountains. We stayed for 2 weeks, and I wish we could have stayed longer. This house is even more stunning than you can tell from the pictures. Just lovely in every way.

Lovely getaway
We really enjoyed staying at this house. The hot tub was wonderful, the views were spectacular, and it was so quiet and remote. We enjoyed the fireplace and our boys loved the games downstairs and taking walks. Only complaint was the house was quite dusty, but seemed quite clean otherwise. Would recommend!

We stayed at BR over 2020 Thanksgiving weekend. Best things about this rental: beautiful Mountain View, homey and cozy mountain house, the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever rented! Not Best Things: 45 min drive to grocery and longer to Boone, Blowing Rock (but we were warned of that), not enough towels for 7 of us so bring some of your own, had issue w hot tub not working but we didn’t discover that until our last night-I really believe Leatherwoiod staff would have attended to that if we had called but it was late and we were leaving the next day.

Perfect Weekend
A lovely cozy mountain cabin. We’ve stayed in this area before and this is our favorite cabin. The house itself has everything you need and is well located for walks thru the woods and just sitting on the balcony looking at the view.

Just what we needed!
We had a perfect Covid vacation here! We went fishing, enjoyed the hot tub, and had movie nights! The view is amazing! The only downside is it takes 45mins-1 hour to get places, but because of covid we only left the resort twice so it didn’t really bother us. We brought all of our food with us since we knew the groceries were far away.

Awesome cagin
We've rented a number of cabins in the NC mountains over the years, including other cabins in Leatherwood, and this one may be our favorite. Nicely appointed kitchen, nice master bedroom and bathroom, great finished downstairs with game room and two bedrooms, and great views. It's a bit of a drive up the mountain from the entrance into the Leatherwood community, but well worth it.

The cabin is absolutely perfect - great balance of comfort and luxury with spectacular views.
Photos of cabin just don’t do it justice. It was a wonderful experience with all the comforts and conveniences of home. There’s a rustic feel with the exposed beams and wood, but the finishes are high-end and the whole place is immaculate. We especially loved the hot tub! The rental office was super helpful and all instructions for check-in and out were clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Blueberry Ridge over the New Year holiday - 4 adults and 3 young kids (My husband and I with our daughter and her family). The cabin was beautiful and very well appointed. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to make our meals. Plenty of dish soap, kitchen linens, toilet paper and paper towels were provided. The gas fireplace was great!! Everything was clean when we arrived, and we found sufficient supplies such as a mop, vacuum, and broom to keep the place picked up from our messes. We truly enjoyed the cabin!! Minor negatives are that the road/cabin signs are on light gray wood, written in white. We are very glad we arrived during the day, but since it was raining the signs were still difficult to read. Also, if you're a big college football fan, there is no ESPN with the DirectTV package provided. Luckily the WiFi worked great, so we were able to stream the games on our iPads. I think adding the ESPN package would be a huge plus for sports fans!! Everything else was great, and we would definitely come back, and also recommend the property to our friends and family. The kids did the horseback ride, and the guide, Jamie, was very patient and knowledgeable. We felt very safe leaving the kids in her hands. Be sure to bring all your necessities, food, etc. with you - as the description of the property says, it's a drive to any stores. We stopped at a grocery store about an hour from the property to buy the perishable items we couldn't bring from home.
