Outstanding service, Aziz is an excellent and welcoming person, I had a great stay, clean and comfortable bed, the only downside is the window have a cheap curtains, and no window cover, so I. The morning you will get hit by the sunlight and the noise from the outside, also no wifi or weak wifi whatsoever, the breakfast is free but nothing special, no proteins just alot of bread and sugar, I dont recommend their menu for lunch or dinner as it is expensive and not tasty at all.
Exceptional Riad. Absolutely stunning. My greeting by the two young men was fantastic and stay was great . Almost. We had a BIG hiccup upon my
Exit which I’ll accept partial responsibility for. When I booked with hotels.com, unknown to me my credit card was just a pre-auth for holding the room. I always pay ahead of time and did not realize the payment hadn’t been made by full already. Anyways, issues with the credit machine and I had to catch my ride to a 2 day tour. After multiple tries annd no luck with the machine , ( I was asked FOuR times..”don’t you have cash”, angrily had to go to the atm and withdraw cash putting me further behind as well as the advance fee from the machine which in total cost me an extra $20. I only
Book hotels that accept cards normally as I don’t like carrying around large sums of cash as a solo female traveller. Having paper trails of receipts is also ideal if you have an insurance claim. Anyways, overall great but a frustrating end to the stay. Also I saw a poor review regarding the stairs . Yep they’re narrow and difficult, but heads up yuppy travellers. There aren’t elevators in riads. If you have mobility issues, you’ll probably want to book a hotel but you’re missing out on authentic charm!
This wonderful place is located in a tiny alley, just off the main road in the heart of the medina. If you arrive by plane, you can ask the driver to call the Riad. Someone will then pick you up at the main road. All the main sites of the medina are in walking distance. A delicious breakfast is served every morning. On our final day we had to leave early in order to catch the bus. They prepared us a breakfast package to take away. There is an excellent restaurant (Almandar) close to the Riad. Be aware that most of the rooms are located upstairs. There is no elevator and the stairs are rather steep. Overall, I highly recommend this wonderful place.
This was a great stay, the room was much bigger than expected, the breakfast was filling, the beds were comfortable, the location was great as it was very close to where taxis can drop off and the wifi was great. The only negative was the shower - the water pressure was almost non existent when you wanted hot water and this wasn’t seen as an issue by staff unfortunately. Besides that, for the price, couldn’t fault it.
The moment I stepped inside the riad is full of surprises!!! The location is wonderful and it is an easy access from the main street. The staffs are extremely helpful and they made me feel like home. Pictures can't justify how beautiful the riad is and it makes you feel like you travel back in times. I would totally recommend this raid to anyone who travel to Fes!
The staff was very warm and welcoming! We had a tour the next morning and were leaving before breakfast started so they made sure we had freshly squeezed orange juice and cake before we left. Rooms were big and clean. My only complaint would be the lighting in the room but that is a minor issue. I would highly recommend this riad
Great location and typical Morrocan style Riad. Free upgrade from the small reserved to the suite room. However, the shower wasn't fully clean and the bathroom maintenance wasn't the best. Overall it was cold in the main entrance and hall way (had to have breakfast with a coat on). Staff were kind, however, we never got a receipt for the city tax and the first second we reached they tried to sell us pricy tours.
We stayed 2 nights in this Riad and it was good. The location is excellent. It is right outside of the Medina, and only a 1 minute walk from the road. Also there are cafes & shops close by.
The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was really good.
The only critique I have is that the room was very small, we were three adults, and there was hardly any room to put our luggage and move around. Other than that, its a good place to stay while visiting Fez.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! The room perfectly exemplified Morocco and Fes! We were delighted with the view from the rooftop terrace and felt very much at home during our two days stay!
I was worried about finding the riad as we arrived at night but we got a taxi from the airport and the driver phoned the riad on the way so someone was waiting for us to take our bags and show us the way. It was actually quite easy to find as it was just outside the medina and quite well signposted.
This is an aesthetically beautiful Riad in the médina and it's easy to get to. The rooms are well appointed, gorgeous and comfortable and gave us great sleeps. The pricing is ridiculously low! The staff, Jala, Brahim, and the manager, Abdul, cannot be more helpful although they try. The food is well prepared and extremely tasty and the kitchen staff go out of their way to satisfy their guests. Fatima, the chef, is very good. We can't recommend this Riad highly enough.
My stay at rid ibn khaldoun was lovely. Upon a late night arrival in fez they had one of their lovely staff pick up me and escort me to the riad. Once inside I was giving a pot of hot tea and fresh biscuits and given a briefing of local attractions, possible tours and a map of the medina. Both Ibrahim and Abdul were wonderful and accommodating. They were extremely friendly, professional and went above and beyond for me. They did their best to answer any questions I had, were not pushy and made me feel very comfortable. The terrace has a beautiful view overlooking the medina and the food was delicious. By far the best experience I have had in Morocco thus far. The one downfall was the lack of wifi inside the rooms, as it was only available in their dining / lobby area. Otherwise a wonderful stay.
I had a fantastic stay here. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable- it also came with the benefit of heating (and A/C), heating is by no means a given in Morocco but definitely good to have for a stay in January! Breakfast was typically Moroccan and the staff were attentive and spoke good English. The rooftop terrace offers great views over Fes and the location is is also excellent. WiFi just about worked from the room but the signal could have been stronger. If arriving from Fes Station (as I was) you should not pay much more than about 20 dirham for a taxi to get here despite what the taxi driver may tell you!
Nice riad with traditional Moroccan architecture & close to attractions..
Staff was really friendly and hospitable..Abdul and Ibrahim really made us feel welcome..
Cleanliness can be improved a bit.
