Ask for a room away from the street
This is a nice hotel, but be sure to ask for a room away from the main street. Otherwise you'll have a choice between having a quiet but stuffy room or a noisy but airy one.

Nice hotel with a good location. Our room on the second floor was right off the patio from the bar. It made it seem like 20 people were in our room at times. Very good location to Eyre Square and the ferries.

The Western was close to all the tourist shops, restaurents and pubs without being directly in chaos. Rooms were clean. Pub in hotle was lovely as well, great for night cap.

Great location. Property is a short <5 min walk to Shop St where the shopping and restaurants are. To check in, there’s a tiny underground lot to park in while you register. They have a second garage with assigned spaces that you might get moved to depending on where your room is. Our room had a sliding glass door that looked out to a small patio. Room was a good size for the 3 of us and clean.
