First things first, the reviews that complain about the driveway are NO joke. We even checked Google Maps/Earth to see what was in store and we expected it to be bad...it was even worse, especially in a large vehicle (truck). We ended up taking an Uber downtown when we wanted to go out to avoid having to navigate the driveway-narrow, steep, limited visibility.
After that, the cabin is very nice. The porch is an incredible place to drink your morning coffee, and the hot tub is excellent to relax in the evening. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The cabin was mostly clean, minus some cobwebs in the corners. The welcome kit (dishwasher tabs, 2 rolls of toilet paper) was a nice touch. Check in was super easy.
The bathroom is beautiful, but as other reviews have stated, lighting could be improved. The shower is a beautiful dark stone, but with no lighting, it did not make for a good experience. Lighting overall left something to be desired, with mismatched warm/cool bulbs.
The pool table was nice, and the kitchen is immaculate with everything you could need. Location is nice enough to be remote, though there is at least one close neighbor who could potentially see full view of the hot tub from their porch. There is not much of a view at this cabin, due to being blocked by trees. The listing states it borders SMNP and while it may, there is no way to access the park/any trails from the cabin. Overall, not a bad stay. Host is responsive and helpful.
