Recently renovated, Zurich Hūs provides you with an elevated, cozy, bright cabin experience.
DESCRIPTION:
Descend 6 long stairs up to the front door where a full wall of bright, tall windows greet you along with a charming, Scandinavian design. Our white-painted floors are well-loved as part of its unique, rustic feel. We’ve provided plenty of pillows, blankets and furs to elevate your experience even more. Stocked with a starter kit of essentials, Zurich Hūs includes the basic amenities you need to enjoy your stay while in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Main floor has a kitchen, dining area, family room, a furnished wrap-around deck, and a master bedroom with queen sized mattress with an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower. Basement floor has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, 1 futon bed, a bathroom with a shower, a full-sized pool table, a tv, multicade game, and a furnished deck. Upper second-floor has one half bath and a bedroom with a full-sized mattress.

-Our guests have been known to spot black bears, please be safe/respectful to all wildlife as you stay in their home, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, & please remember to always lock your car doors.
-Our neighborhood is on the mountainside and you must drive a windy and steep road to access it. All cars can make the drive, and you’ll be glad you came because the views are stunning!
HOUSE MANUAL:
CHECK IN:
You can access the cabin by entering your personal code and then pressing the check mark button on the bottom left of the keypad. Please lock the door by pressing the Yale logo at the top of the keypad after the door has been tightly closed.
STARTER KIT:
We provide the following essentials for our guests as a starter kit: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 small bottle of dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, 1 tide pod, and 1 extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. If you feel you may need more, there’s a general store at the bottom of the mountain about 8 minutes away.
KITCHEN:
The kitchen is stocked with everything you should need to cook, including a basic set of spices.
ROADS/PARKING:
The stunning, windy roads to our cabin are accessible to all cars—no 4-wheel drive is necessary. A few spots along your drive only allow for one car to pass at a time. There is enough space for 2-3 cars in front of the cabin.
ROKU REMOTES:
We always keep new batteries in the remotes, however they tend to be a bit finicky. Please press the buttons hard, and give them time to work. Sometimes they take a moment to “wake up” for some reason. Do not switch the remotes to other rooms, please.
BEARS:
This cabin is located in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. We have frequent visits by a few black bears. Please do NOT feed the animals, and always lock your car doors.
If you empty the trash during your stay, trash must be placed inside of the bear-proof black cages outside—be sure to latch them closed.
Most importantly, keep your distance and be respectful.
COFFEE:
We provide complimentary grounds for one pot of coffee located in the coffee pot, as well as coffee filters and sugar inside the cupboard above the coffee maker. Coffee maker does not take pods or K Cups.
FLOORS:
We hope you enjoy our white floors as much as we do! Our floors have a lot of character, we love that they tell a story. We assure you they are clean. Our cleaners thoroughly sweep, vacuum, and mop the floors after each stay to keep our floors as clean as possible. We understand that additional scuffs may occur during your stay; do not be alarmed if this happens.
CHECK OUT:
Before you leave, the following would be greatly appreciated: Please leave the beds unmade; place used towels in either bathtub; and load/start the dishwasher with the provided dishwasher pod (NOT the liquid dish soap).
Late check-outs may be available with a fee of $50, but only if discussed and agreed upon at least 2 days in advance.
HOT TUB:
The hot tub is small and comfortably fits only 2-3 people at a time. No one under 25 may use it.
No oils, scents, or soaps are permitted in the hot tub. If we find any of these have been used, we will have to charge a $150 fee as it can damage the hot tub.
MISCELLANEOUS:
We have a regularly scheduled pest control, but because we are in the Smoky Mountains it is still a possibility that bugs may be present. If this happens, we apologize.
If you damage or break anything during your stay, please inform us immediately.
Extra batteries for the remotes are located in the emergency kit inside the closet at the top of the stairs.
Extra sheets and pillow for the futon are located inside the dresser of the left bedroom downstairs.
