It’s pub style accomodation, don’t expect the Ritz! For the price (a third of what you pay in a hotel chain) the accomodation was clean, staff friendly/helpful and the location was central to everything. There were two individual lockable bathrooms (with large shower/toilet) per six rooms per floor. We never really had to wait and could always pop down a level if needed. A kitchen had cereal/milk for guests and facilities to cook dinner, handy for families. There were lots of stairs and no lift - maybe leave the 25kg suitcase at home. You will need to wear earplugs to sleep (ask at the bar if you forgot them). If you sit by the window with a cuppa on a Friday/Sat night you’ll watch a parade of people going to dress up parties (what is it with that Sydney?). There’s two convenience stores across the road open pretty much all the time. Our family room had a fan and heater but no AC. The bar fridge was cold and there were tea/coffee making facilities. We had fresh towels daily. The pub downstairs had some good specials but there are plenty of places within walking distance.

In the heart of it all!
Great location! Quick walk to the transit and right in the middle of downtown! The room was fine, the street noise was an issue, as the best way to cool the room was to open the window (no AC). Very clean, great staff!

Great centrally located place. Not fancy but good value for money and very close to everything. The building is A little old and dilapidated but Has a lot of character and the extremely friendly staff made it a very enjoyable stay for me and my family. Would definitely stay there again.

Bit old and run down. Bathroom/toilet not specified as communal. No lift - difficult to negotiate steep narrow stairs with suitcases. Only lighting was a table lamp. TV only able to be watched from top bunk and then at an angle! Hotel on busy city intersection - very noisy. Extremely crowded bar to negotiate to find manager and 'book in' - no separate office. Great steaks and comfy bed.

Oh my, what a lovely experience for the night, rainy night in the middle of the city, very roomy room, open the windows for full exposure to the city or close them and turn the fan on for a closed room of comfort. Bathroom-toilet&showers very clean. So much charm, cheapest you’ll get for the best service and rooms. Didn’t even have breakfast which is included and still super happy with our stay. Will be back

The staff are lovely but if you stay invest in good earplugs! The street noise is terrible ALL night- there is a bus that goes by every 5 min right outside- and there is no AC so if it is hot you have a choice of a really noisy hot room with the window open or an opressively stuffy and only barely quieter room. I got maybe an hour of sleep for the night. The TV only has one channel that will tune in so hopefully you like Channel 7!

It was so dirty only a pig could stay there. I ended up walking out and losing my money. Had to pay for decent accommodation. Wot if was no help at all. Never again with wotif.
