Great stay
Had a wonderful stay at G Hotel Gurney. Reception staff were very friendly, rooms were spotless and bed was luxurious. There were many little touches that were very well thought through. Rooms were tidied twice a day. We loved the convenience of being close to malls and eateries.

Nice and clean hotel at good location. Customer service was friendly and good. However, aircon in the room is a bit too cold despite tuning down the fan speed and temperature. Breakfast buffet wasn't great in term of the variety of food and taste. Would consider G Hotel again in my next visit.

Had a very pleasant stay, with powerful showers and a lillow menu. We opted for the sea facing view, but mainly saw construction. The Delux rooms while largish at 380sf are still a bit basic.

Good location!
Stayed in Executive room, free cocktail and snacks from 6-8pm daily and free breakfast, though the hotel could have varied the food on different days instead of serving the same food, quality of breakfast food can be improved. Location is perfect, right in btw 2 shopping malls - Gurney Plaza and Paragon. Both malls offers lots of dining options, supermarket and mid to high end shopping. Unfortunately Penang is undergoing a lot of reclamation works and the front seaview is marred by construction sites.

Rang the guest service centre for nearly half an hour for room dine in request, however, no one pick up. Had to go down to lobby to request for room dine in service and was told one only staff working so no one pick up the call. A 5 star hotel with only 1 staff working at guest service centre??

The staff were very nice and polite from concierge to breakfast/lounge staff to check-in staff. They were obliging and welcoming. Rooms and toilets big. Had a sea view but lots of construction going on which is unfortunate. Would be very nice once completed. Lots of traffic but no noise in the room. Free mini bar with soft drinks which is good for some but not us which don’t take soft drinks. Non sugar drinks perhaps? Location is perfect for shoppers and dining! Good place to chill too. We enjoyed the lounge where we eat and chill from 6pm to 8pm. So much to eat in Penang! Unfortunately we had a towel that was stained but staff replaced it quickly. We don’t mind coming staying again when we come back to Penang.
