This is a hidden Jewel. I had driven by it hundreds of time over last 30 years and decided to stay here this week. What a pleasant surprise! I’m recommending this resort to everyone. It is conveniently located at the junction of Kananaskis not far from Calgary, Canmore and Banff. Cheaper than the expensive stays in Canmore and Banff.

Email sent after I requested info on checkin saying we were on our way-telling us we needed to bring towels. Someone working on shower when we arrived and did not get it fixed. Not enough amenities for number of people it says accommodates. Photos online must have been taken a few years ago-interior is well used.

This was like stepping into a different time and place. The house, although dated, has a seamless European vibe with fixtures and details that are uncommon, authentic and charming. The home was obviously much loved and cared-for when it was built and is an absolutely perfect summer home. The location is so beautiful, overlooking the turquoise water of ghost lake with multiple patios from which to take in the view. We went with friends and cooked gourmet meals together in the open kitchen then feasted at the big dining room table that is the focal point of the main floor. It was delightful. The place has also seen better days... The grounds are not well cared-for with lots of dead plants, most things are quite worn-out, with broken stairs to the water and a completely buckled and inaccessible dock. Even with all of that, we still just loved this place for its uniqueness and character.

The property was pretty amazing and perfect for our family of 6 adults and 3 children ranged 8-13 years old. Possibly could use a little improvement on some furniture and seating on the outdoor decks. Very convenient to the National Parks as well as grocery in Cochrane. We did have a few issues that needed attention, but fortunately the property manager, Leanne, was outstanding. She was easily contacted and reacted very quickly to our needs.

The house was in a perfect location; half way between Calgary and Banff. Ghost lake was beautiful and we swam daily. The wildlife around house was awesome!!
