Disgusting rooms, particularly bathroom. Appalling response to this from duty manager:
- Crumbs all over carpet in room
- Bedsheets stained
- Terrible pillows
- Black mould in the shower (other reviews mention this)
- Wiped a tissue round the edge of the bathroom and black dust came off, as well as pubic hairs and other hairs... clearly had not been cleaned properly in ages
- Long head hair stuck to wall
- We also found a scab in the corner of the bathroom and a nose booger smeared on the wall
Spoke to reception duty manager who was a joke. I said we didn't want to move room as our journey was exhausting, they insisted, I viewed another room which was barely better, black mould and dust in bathroom. She said that it was an old hotel and they couldn't be expected to clean rooms thoroughly - suggested I call the police if I wasn't happy! Said there was no one to clean our room, kept referring to a more senior manager I could speak to even though they didn't start the next day until after we wanted to check out. Said she couldn't do any type of refund as we booked through Expedia, even though they had my card details for refundable security deposit when I checked in. Barely got an apology, she gave the impression of hoping that I would just go away if she ignored me with a blank look. She came across as poorly trained and unwilling to take responsibility.
I'd rather pay twice as much elsewhere/stay further from the airport than stay in this disgusting, badly run dump again.
