We stayed here one night. The lady who greeted us was lovely and it was a very warm reception with a cup of tea. The public rooms are quirky. My only reservation about the property was the state of the carpets in the public areas which were quite stained and marked. The lounge had bare floorboards and that was much nicer, so I dont know why they don't just strip out the carpets in the corridors and bedrooms altogether and have a trendier vibe! Breakfast was ok. Overall the staff were excellent and the hotel was very good value for money indeed.

The downstairs rooms were like a stately home, very elegant. Our bedroom was very tidy and but not really on par with the downstairs rooms, the bathroom was only small. The three members of the staff we met were very helpful and professional. The breakfast was excellent. I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends.

We loved the uniqueness of the property, how peaceful it was & how welcoming too. The staff were so friendly & helpful. Will definitely be our place to stay whenever we stay in Hastings.

Friendly quality hotel
From the warm welcome including tea and coffee, the whole experience was wonderful. The room (2) was wonderful as well. unfortunately we were unable to experience the bar or dinner due to our own problems. Breakfast though was excellent as was the security of the hotel. Sarah & Loise ( I may of got those names wrong) were excellent friendly and professional hosts. We will certainly look at returning here when next in the area. Also worth mentioning they are dog friendly.

We stayed for three nights, the room suited our needs and the bed was comfortable. A little maintenance both inside and out and the lovely outside areas could be enjoyed with a tidy up however this didnt affect our enjoyment. A good selection of breakfast options and all were nice, unfortunately due to staff shortages evening meals were unavailable. A good selection branded and locally sorced gin's. The biggest positive of Guestling Hall is the staff and we'd like to thank Sarah, cheryl and Toby, they made us feel comfortable and accomodated all our needs.

Overnight stay
Hotel is a grand building with off-road free parking, hotel has a good sizeable entrance, lounge with bar, communal dining area and bedroom was a large room well equipped room with en-suite bathroom. Service was prompt and quick to respond. Breakfast was well catered for even with DF/GF requirements.

Character hotel
Lovely hotel in a really beautiful spot. Great welcome, comfortable clean room and a tasty breakfast. Staff were very friendly and the place has bags of character, we would be happy to stay there again.

Had a great 5 days here. Staff are amazing and very helpful. Location is great for visiting Hastings, Rye and Battle. Some lovely local pubs nearby. Hotel is quirky but nicely decorated. Needs a bit of TLC especially the pool area but the kids loved it.

Only stayed one night on our south coast quick tour. Lovely greeeting on arrival. We were even offered a cup of tea. The room was lovely and comfortable with a great walk in shower. Excellent breakfast. Very good staff. Would highly recommend
