Beautiful area next to Waikiki Beach. There was a big strike going on while we were there and services were curtailed. Communication from management was inconsistent. The property is very crowded.

Hotel didn’t mention that the staff had been on strike for a whole month prior to our stay. We couldn’t sleep because they were chanting and there was no service and most amenities were closed due to no staff.

Beautiful property. Our stay would have been amazing had the hotel not been on strike. Chanting picketers out all day from 7am-10pm. They are at all the entrances to the property and along the beach. You can’t enjoy your balcony without hearing them with their bullhorns and drums. At night your can’t enjoy the beach for the same reason. All the beach bars are closed so you can’t enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. I’d pick a different hotel where you can actually enjoy the Hawaiian beaches and sunsets

The property advises you at check in to grab your own amenities on a certain floor. That due to the strike there’s limited staff. There would be one or two attendees at the front desk who most times couldn’t give you a proper answer. It’s as if they were just hired on. There’s so much noise from the workers on strike and it starts as early as 6:30am to 10pm. They’re upfront at the entrance and near the pool closest to the beach.. such a disappointment to have to be in the pool and yell at your family just so they could hear what you’re trying to say! Definitely regret booking at this hotel and wish they’d be more willing to discount the room rates given the lack of attentiveness and customer service!

Horrible experience

We came to the hotel for a large wedding & all of us had a terrible experience, construction was going on & protesting/strike no customer service or hotel cleaning also restaurants closed for construction, this was not what we expected & probably want stay at hilton again

Unfortunately, the workers at this resort were on strike, which meant that the usual amenities and services were not available. I was disappointed that there were no warnings of this from either the Hilton or Expedia. Because of the strike, basic services like room cleaning and guest services were not provided. I feel that I should have been given the opportunity to decide whether or not I wanted to stay at this resort given the current labor dispute. Expedia should have informed us of this situation in advance.

We love the view and suite. Even though there was no house keeping the hotel was so nice and didn't charge the resort fee. There were plenty of towels which I loved. Very satisfied!

We were not aware that there was a union strike at the property. They would wake us up at 600am and stop around 11pm. We had no room service, had to go to a floor below us to get supplies, when we asked for a blanket that was stained with urine they acted like we were inconveniencing them.

First off,I was not aware of the loud protest going from 6am-10pm , I was there to relax but seemed better off staying home,there was no house keeping,5 night with no clean towels,no shampoo or necessary items to get by. And still had to pay resort fees? What a shame on Hilton,first time to Hawaii and last bc of this bad experience.

I was not aware of the union strike. The noise level was horrible and it was difficult driving in and out of the property. They started at 7 am and continued til midnight, we had no room service and the rooms did not get cleaned the entire 8 day stay.ww had to get our own room supplies towels for showers and the fridge door popped open and ruined our lunchmeats we purchased. Definitely would have booked elsewhere had we known

While booking this vacation months ago for our HONEYMOON, upon arrival to the hotel we were faced with toms of workers on strike. As we checked in, that’s when we were notified that there was a current strike going on. We were not given any notice prior to arriving. There was no housekeeping, our room was dirty, we had to get our own towels, toilet paper, ect…the union on strike was up before 7AM and did not finish their rally until after 10PM! They were so loud that even with our balcony door closed and sound machine on high could drown them out. You could still hear them clear as day. We even left the property to other restaurants due to multiple being closed on the resort, and they were everywhere on the streets. People spend a great deal of money for these vacations to Hawaii and this was absolutely ridiculous that we were not notified prior so we could change locations if we choose. We were told there wasn’t much they could do to help us beside comp parking since we booked through a third parking. This was extremely frustrating and even though we understand union strikes happen, it would have been common courtesy to notify guest so they were given an option to stay elsewhere to enjoy their Hawaiian vacation.

Would not recommend. Room and facilities were dirty, amenities were not maintained, very outdated. Protestors were yelling between the pool and beach from 6am-10pm. It doesn't matter where you are located within the resort - you won't be able to relax or sleep with how loud it is. They will offer to not make you pay resort fees as compensation which is a joke. We paid a lot to stay at what we thought was a high end resort and were extremely disappointed.
