The location is good, everything is close by. You’re literally one and a half blocks from the beach. The only thing is that they got a big ant infestation problem. They should hire a professional pest control company to take care of this problem. What they’re doing is having their in-house cleaning/maintenance people spray the room. They had to do it 3 to 4 times in our over two weeks stay. I have two small children that are under the age of seven and they were waking up with bites every morning. We have ants crawling all over our toothbrushes towels, clothing. And when we complained, the staff wasn’t too happy and they finally changed our room after our third night there. With no luck the room had also an ant problem. We only use the room to sleep at night and bring in late. We try not to be there.

We needed a room at the last minute, and this hotel was available. It's a great budget option near Waikiki Beach. However, there was no parking on the property and no elevator, so we had to carry our suitcases to the room on the second floor.

I guess it was my fault not to double check everything with this property. Expedia says everything's is paid but when you arrive to the property they make you pay $25 per day for amenities but we had our hole stay (4 night) with the same set of towels. Furniture like cabinets and wardrobe were full of dust like never even wiped. Homeless and junkies try to break in just to sleep in the hallway, parking in the area is impossible they say there's parking available but again when you read the small letters you realize that it's available but you have to pay 40 bucks. I try to complain with Expedia but they're right all the information is there but is as visible as you would spect. They offer the most horrible coffe and creamer for breakfast. Besides that the staff was friendly, the location is great because you can walk, the hotel was quiet. Is a good place maybe it just need more attention and more cleaning in the rooms. Thank you

A very pleasant overnight stay at this somewhat secluded area in Waikiki. I'm often visiting hotels that have electronic key cards but this hotel was like classic Hawaii hotels with an actual key to open doors. I thought that was nostalgic in an adorable way. Reminded me when vacationing with my family when I was a kid. I enjoyed my stay.

Was great for the price. I think most people that book it probably have high expectations and are extremely fussy but this place was amazing and so close to our favourite part of Waikiki. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

I'm 73 and the staff put us in a second level unit without an elevator while 20 year olds were put on the ground floor. Asked for a second pillow and was told there were none available. Treated very ugly by staff.

I could tell the property dates from the 60’s. It has the same shower door my mom’s house has, which was built in 1966. However the room is clean, 32” TV with Spectrum cable, desk, sofa, queen bed, dorm fridge and small microwave. Less safe are key lock and exterior facing entrance door, but there is a door chain and room safe. A window air conditioner ran constantly but it kept my 2nd floor (top floor) cinder block room cool. Conveniently located within a few minutes walk to dozens of restaurants and two blocks from the city bus stop to get to/from the airport for $3, $1.25 if you show a Medicare card.

Estado bastante lamentable de las instalaciones en general. Cortina deprimente en el baño con moho. Mal olor. Ruido infame de aires acondicionados ajenos. Nunca nos limpiaron la habitación en 5 días q estuvimos. Mantas en la cama con aspecto muy dudoso y cochambroso. Almohadas finísimas e incómodas, al igual que el colchón. Cocina completamente vacía, con solo un microondas y un refri, decentes los dos, eso sí. Problema de hormigas en el baño. Dejamos unas toallas secándose afuera y en 5 minutos se las llevaron las personas del hotel. Cuando mi amiga fue a reclamar hicieron como que no sabían. Cuando yo volví a reclamar y les expliqué en mejor inglés, ahora si nos las devolvieron. Para estacionarnos en un espacio horrible nos cobraron $40 por noche! La puerta de atrás daba directamente al estacionamiento pero la persona de recepción no me avisó de esto, así q durante varios dias rodeé toda la cuadra para ir cuando había acceso directo. Ella solo me dio la dirección, pero no ese importante detalle, por suerte nosotros lo descubrimos al ver gente q salía por esa puerta trasera con un código q ni nos habían dado. Lo positivo del hotel es q está en pleno meollo de Waikīkī, muy cerca de la playa y todo funciona en el. Café disponible a las 7 am, lavadoras en el lugar, de moneda.

No bad overall
Overall not a bad stay, it's a two star hotel, the beds are comfy and it's clean.. Couple issues: a hot shower wasn't in the cards, luke warm at best..Also there's no baggage storage for late checkouts, that was definitely an issue considering our flight was in the evening

The vintage ambiance is charming & comfotable.Garden is gorgeous. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Coffee maker would be nice for first thing in the morning but the coffee lanai is lovely & a good place to mingle with other guests. Paper towels, plates, flatware, etc in kitchen cupboards would be nice since we stayed 10 days & ate in part of the time. Microwave & frig were very nice. Staff was very friendly & helpful for most part. We like the quiet rules & locked gate after 10pm. I really wanted to swim but the first step was too steep for me so I didn’t. Thanks MUCH for accommodating my request for bathroom with railings.This was our 2nd stay w/ you in 2 years. We will stay with you next time we visit our kids.
