A great budget hotel in the heart of the city. I found it was ideally located for sightseeing, being only a 5-10min walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and many more of the attractions.
The hotel room was serviced daily complete with a towel change (better service than I've received in other cities!) and the staff were friendly and courteous.
Breakfast was exactly as expected from the various city guide books I'd read, including juice, tea, coffee, bread, cheese, tomato, cucumber, preserves and yoghurt.
Nearby restaurants served good food, were friendly and popular. There are many places to eat within a 10 min walk, but the more 'touristy' the location, the higher the price - remember, this is the largest city in Turkey and some of the prices reflected this at times.
Would I go back to Istanbul? Definitely, 5 days just wasn't enough to see everything.
Would I stay at this hotel again? Absolutely, it was perfectly placed, and nothing more or less than needed for a city break.
