Very good
All reviews shown are from real guest experiences. Only travellers who have booked a stay with us can submit a review. We verify reviews according to our guidelines and publish all reviews, positive or negative.
Our room had 2 rooms and a kitchen. Such a nice thing to have after long days of driving.
The scenery was incredible and this lodge was in a great location.
Thrilled with how kind the woman who checked us in was. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of
Had an amazing stay at Maligne when we visited back in April 2024, very sad to see what has happened due to the wildfires, the place was under some renovations when we went. Overall the staff were friendly and the lodge was a comfortable stay with the kitchen amenities provided we were able to make our own meals which was really convenient.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
They made us pack up and leave 4 hours after checking in to the motel, because a wildfire alert caused everyone in town to be evacuated.
I understand why they made us leave, but we never received a refund for that night or the next. Took over 21 hours (no sleep and I had to drive the entire time) and 2000 kms to get another room…in Calgary.
My contract was for two night's lodging. They failed to fulfill the contract and refund my money ($507 USD). Why should I have to pay for two days use when the motel’s management made me leave, which was not my fault or under my control.
Maligne Lodge has insurance for this sort of thing, so why should I the patron take the hit?
Very nice room! Good size and nicely updated. Staff was cheerful, friendly and accommodating. Location is a little bit away from the stores and restaurants east, but certainly walkable.

Don’t understand why I had to pay for two days use for something the motel’s management made me leave….not my fault.
Would never stay again room way over priced, very small, room in need of repairs, very few plugins, just nothing I can say was good other than check in girl was very nice.
Nothing like the reviews - very out-dated and not clean. It was unseasonably hot - but we all know that is the trend now. The A/C portable unit tripped a braker, did not cool the room, was noisy. The heating wall unit came on in the night, despite the thermostat set to 10 degrees - the lowest setting and no off/on switch. The room was unbearably hot and uncomfortable for sleeping. No convenient electrical outlets by the bed - had to run an extension cord for C-Pap machine to the side of the bed. Had to use bathroom outlets to charge phone and camera batteries. Discussed all of this with management at check-out, said they would issue a discount. I received a discount of $22.95 which didn't even cover the taxes and fees charged. Very disappointed in review status which I relied on to book a decent room for our stay

Liked: Cleanliness
The AC broke, requested fan that arrived an hour late. Expedia mentions breakfast included but when on sitez they refused that option. Asking a lot of money for these things to be happening!
Motel was grreat for a 2 day stop over with family.
Complimentary wine on arrival was a lovely touch.
Our fridge wasn't working and they moved heaven and earth to get a replacement that evening.
Pool was cold (not in the sun to get heated) but was fine to interchange with the hottub.
There was a nice cafe attached. We didn't use it but the coffee from there was in the room and very nice.
