Great property, but really poor communication & management
We didn't have a great start to our stay as even though we arrived at 3pm-ish, we realised that the property hadn't been cleaned at all since the last group had been in - beds weren't made, bathroom had dirty towels on the floor, kitchen items were on the benches etc. My family was really excited to settle in, but I ended up having to call the management company and after a 10min wait on hold trying to get through, they organised for cleaners to come. We had to leave and didn't end up checking in until almost 6pm and by that time, the kids were hungry, tired and grumpy which didn't make a great start to our holiday.The quick clean was OK - there were a couple of things not quite right and floors were still pretty dirty but on the phone they said we would be compensated, so I waited to hear back. I didn't hear back for 36 hours and so I messaged them twice and didn't hear back for another 2 days. I felt like I'd been ghosted, so called and then was offered a late check-out but no monetary compensation for the lost time and hassle.On the day that we were checking out, the cleaner came to the front door at 10am and asked us to vacate. We told her that we were told that we could have a 1pm checkout but she said she hadn't been told and had made her day there and had another job lined up later. I did feel for her, but we weren't ready to check out at that point.Other than the poor communication and management, the place was really great and walk to the beach was excellent.
