Book Kaga hotels

Our family of 3 had a wonderful 2 nights stay here. We book a Japanese room with private onsen and it was fantastic! Futon was really comfortable too with bean pillows that provided good head support. All the staffs were friendly and welcoming, especially with my 21 months old daughter. Breakfast and dinner was one of the best we have had among all the Ryokans we have stayed in Japan so far. The food quality was excellent and of superior quality, you can see the Chef's effort and sincerity when preparing each dish. We love that we had our own dedicated little private room to dine in throughout our stay. Thank you to our host that took care of us, from preparing the futon, tidying the room and serving our meals. We highly recommend staying here to whoever that is considering this place.

Lovely stay with public and private onsens

Lovely getaway for an authentic Japanese Onsen bathing experience. The suite room was gorgeous and came with a private bath which was very worth it for me ! Many delicious local restaurant options nearby too. Staff knew enough English to get us settled. Highly recommend for 1-2 nights as part of your trip.

Ryokan’s kaiseki dinner was finely executed and delicious. Ryokan has a “lion “ dance show in evening for guests, a bonus. Room size was smaller than we expected but adequate. Location was okay as apart from some stores around the square, there was nothing else around the area.

It was a lovely hotel. The village was so enjoyable and walkable. We loved the onsen!! Public onsen in the hotel so it was a little busy in the am but very quiet in the evening.

There were just a few English speaking employees, Iwata was one of them and then the facility was a little dated but they tried hard to keep it up to par; our first room was clean except that the bathroom had a rotten wooden panel that I discovered was the cause of the smell, so after spending time with 3 people for a few hours I had the room changed to a newly refurbished and clean one...maybe because of the whole situation I got some allergies going, not pleasant. The outside area is kept clean but there were some visible area (from the windows) that looked in shambles considering that the lake & mountain views were nice, so I pointed that to the manager and staff. Dining is limited and there is JoJo restaurant near by/across the street that hit the spot. The Onsen area was good and my wife used it many times, so communication had his changes and beware of the older rooms that might have some issues that should be addressed asap with pictures with the staff.
